The Municipal Annexe, 68 Dale Street, Liverpool is next to the Municipal Buildings, Liverpool, the former administrative headquarters of Liverpool City Council.
It was built in 1883 to a design by F & G Holme as the base for the Conservative Club. [1] It was later acquired by the City Council and housed the education department and several rooms used for Council Committee meetings, but was sold in the late 1990s. It was intended that the building would be linked with two other properties on St Thomas Street and turned into Liverpool's first 5-star hotel, known as the Layla. Initially planned for opening in 2006, the project was delayed and the investors, Illiad, sold their shares in the development to a Dubai-based consortium in July 2012. [2] The new 87-room hotel opened in October 2015 branded as a DoubleTree by Hilton. [3]
The building is three storeys tall with a basement and an attic and is built from stone with a slate mansard roof. The exterior is partially surrounded with balustrades and there is a balcony on the first floor of the building.

Central Village is a shopping, leisure, commercial and residential development that is currently under construction in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom. The complex is being built over Liverpool Central railway station, the UK's busiest underground station outside London. The core of the project is two high rise blocks of 25 and 20 floors linked by a 9-storey residential and commercial podium and two nine and five storey buildings for residential, hotel and commercial use. The development is by Merepark and is predicted to cost roughly £160 million. It is one of a number of ambitious projects to take place in Liverpool city centre in the early 21st century - other developments being Liverpool One, King's Dock, Prince's Dock, Lime Street Gateway, Metquarter and developments in the Commercial District. The proposed development includes the famous Lewis's department store building. Besides the residential, commercial and leisure aspects of the development, there will also be a number of office buildings and a large QPARK multi-storey car park - which will be the first part of Central Village to be completed in 2011. Planning permission was granted for the project by Liverpool City Council in May 2009, and final approval was given for construction of the entire complex to commence in February 2010. The entire Central Village scheme was due for completion in 2015 however is still to be completed due to a series of delays.

The Martins Bank Building is a Grade II* listed building and former bank located on Water Street, Liverpool, England. Built as the head office of the now defunct Martins Bank, the seven storey classical style building has been described as one of the country's best examples of an interwar classical building.
Oak Lawn was a large house and wooded estate that once stood on the edge of today's Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan neighborhoods in Washington, D.C. The estate was bounded by 19th Street, Columbia Road, Connecticut Avenue, and Florida Avenue. Previously called Widow's Mite, the estate was originally several hundred acres, but by the 19th century, had been reduced to around 10 acres. The house was built around 1820 and was greatly expanded in 1873 by Thomas P. Morgan, one half of the eponym of the Adams Morgan neighborhood. A large oak tree, nicknamed the Treaty Oak, was reportedly hundreds of years old and stood just a few yards from the house.
