Murtaza Hussain (born December 20,1974,in Punjab) is a Pakistani first-class cricketer. A right-arm offbreak bowler,Hussain has taken over 500 wickets in a career which began in 1990/91. His career best innings figures are 9 for 54. He played for Surrey in 2007 and 2008 and has also played for Pakistan A. [1] Hussain plays club cricket for Mildenhall Cricket Club in the East Anglian Premier Cricket League.
Nasser Hussain is an English cricket commentator and former cricketer who captained the England cricket team between 1999 and 2003,with his overall international career extending from 1990 to 2004. A pugnacious right-handed batsman,Hussain scored over 30,000 runs from more than 650 matches across all first-class and List-A cricket,including 62 centuries. His highest Test score of 207,scored in the first Test of the 1997 Ashes at Edgbaston,was described by Wisden as "touched by genius". He played 96 Test matches and 88 One Day International games in total. In Tests he scored 5,764 runs,and he took 67 catches,fielding predominantly in the second slip and gully.
Syed Inzamam-ul-Haq SI,also known as Inzi,is a former Pakistan cricketer and captain of Pakistan national cricket team. He is regarded as one of the greatest players Pakistan has produced and one of the best middle-order batsmen of all time. Niaz Stadium is a cricket ground in Hyderabad,Pakistan. The ground can accommodate 15,000 spectators,and hosted its first Test match in 1973. It was established in November 1961 by the then Commissioner of Hyderabad,Niaz Ahmed,after whom the stadium is named.

Mansoor Amjad,born 14 December 1987,is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team and Leicestershire County Cricket Club in England. His father,mother,and other family members supported him throughout his career,encouraging him to play cricket. Amjad first played tape-ball cricket in the street as a child,and was known in his hometown as a bat and ball boy. He played cricket at an early age for the Saga sports cricket club,and began playing seriously in 1998–99 when he attended a Habib Bank mobile camp in Lahore. Amjad began as a leg spin bowler,and later developed his batting skills as a right-hand batsman. In 2000,Amjad was selected for the under-15 camp.
Rana Majid Haq Khan,better known as Majid Haq,is a Scottish cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and an off spin bowler. He has represented Scotland at Under 17,Under 19 and Under 23 levels,making his debut for the senior side on 20 July 2002 in a European Championship match against an England Board XI. He was a member of the Scottish squad for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. Haq is a cousin of fellow cricketer Omer Hussain. Both Hussain and Haq have played for Kelburne Cricket Club,Ferguslie Cricket Club and Clydesdale Cricket Club. He now plays for the Ayrshire-based club,Prestwick Cricket Club. Haq is of Pakistani descent.
Munir Hussain was a cricket commentator,administrator,and journalist from Pakistan who also played a first-class cricket match for Kalat in the 1969–70 season. He was the first to introduce Urdu commentary to cricket,and was the founder of the first Urdu cricket magazine,Akhbar-e-Watan. During the 1970s,Hussain commentated on the game for Pakistan Television (PTV) and Radio Pakistan,and wrote weekly columns on cricket for the Daily Jang for many years. He received many accolades for his work for cricket. ESPNcricinfo writer Saad Shafqat described him as "a pioneering commentator,groundbreaking publisher,Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) mandarin,and sagacious elder presence in the nation's cricket circles". He also served as the president of the KCCA.
The England national cricket team,organised by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC),toured India,Pakistan and Ceylon from October 1961 to February 1962. They played five Test matches against the India national cricket team,with India winning two matches and the other three being drawn;and three Tests against the Pakistan national cricket team,with England winning the first match and the other two drawn. The itinerary was unusual in that England began in Pakistan with three matches,including the first Test at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore,and then went on an extensive five-Test tour of India before crossing into East Pakistan,where they played their second Test against Pakistan at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka. For the third Test against Pakistan,they travelled to the National Stadium,Karachi before completing the tour in February with three games in Ceylon. Ceylon was not a Test-qualified team at that time and played a single first-class match against MCC in Colombo which was won by MCC.
Pakistan Customs cricket team were a first-class cricket side of no fixed abode that played in domestic tournaments in Pakistan from 1972–73 to 2009–10,representing the Pakistan Customs service. They never won the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy,but did win the Patron's Trophy once.
The 1998 'Friendship Cup',also known as the 1998 Sahara 'Friendship Cup' for sponsorship reasons,was a One Day International cricket series which took place between 12 and 20 September 1998. The tournament was held in Canada,which was seen as neutral territory for India and Pakistan to play each other. The tournament was won by Pakistan,who won the series 4–1.
The 2006–07 ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup was the third season of the ABN AMRO Twenty-20 Cup in Pakistan,sponsored by ABN AMRO. It was held in Karachi from 21 to 26 December 2006. The tournament was reduced to a shorter format similar to the 2004–05 edition with 18 matches. The Sialkot Stallions successfully defended the title by defeating the Karachi Dolphins in the final.
