The Headies is a music awards show established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The annual ceremony features performances by established and promising artists. It is broadcast live on HipTV to viewers across Nigeria. The first and second editions of The Headies were held at the Muson Center in Onikan, Lagos State. Between 2010 and 2012, the awards were held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Several media personalities in Nigeria have hosted the annual ceremony, including Darey Art Alade, D'banj, Dakore Egbuson, Banky W., Rita Dominic, M.I, Tiwa Savage and Dr SID.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist. He is known by his stage name Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana. His best-known singles are "Dancehall King", "My level" and "We taking over". He is also known for "Already" from Beyoncé's Black Is King which also featured Major Lazer. His song "Dancehall King" earned him the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Wale is also an actor who appeared in the films Never Say Never, The trial of Shatta Wale and Shattered Lives. Wale's 2004 recording "Moko Hoo" was nominated for a Ghana Music Award.
Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, is a Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae musician.
The 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards took place on 31 August 2014, at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The eligibility period was from March 2013 to March 2014. In April 2014, the NEA reviewing committee began collecting submissions for the 2014 edition. The deadline for submission was April 30, 2014, and the nominations were announced on May 29, 2014. Tiwa Savage and Davido received the most nominations with 5 each. Don Jazzy, Flavour N'abania and Wizkid all got four nominations each, while Olamide, Patoranking, Chidinma and Oritse Femi followed closely with three nominations.
The 2014 Channel O Music Video Awards took place on 29 November 2014 at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto. Nominees were announced on 4 September. Cassper Nyovest, K.O and Davido led the nominations with 5 each. DJ Clock's hit song "Pluto", which features the singing trio Beatenberg, followed with 4. AKA and Uhuru both received three nominations apiece. Cassper Nyovest and Diamond Platnumz both took home three awards apiece.

John Kwesi Dosunmu-Mensah better known as M.O.G Beatz, is a Ghanaian record producer who specializes in Afro-pop, Hip hop, Afrobeats, R&B, Hiplife, Fuji and Highlife.
Sesan Ogunro is a Nigerian music video director based in the United Kingdom, often credited for his work as Sesan. He has directed music videos for Afrobeats genre artists such as D'Banj, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Davido. He is the CEO of Film Factory Nigeria, a video production company in Lagos; and Film Factory South Africa, in Johannesburg.
The Lion King: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack for the 2019 Walt Disney Pictures film The Lion King, a live-action photorealistic computer-generated remake of Disney's 1994 animated feature film of the same name. It features songs from the original film written by Elton John and Tim Rice and performed by the film's cast. It also features the score composed by Hans Zimmer, the original film's composer, and two new songs: "Spirit," written by Beyoncé, Labrinth, and Ilya Salmanzadeh and performed by Beyoncé, and the end-credit song "Never Too Late", written by John and Rice and performed by John. Beyoncé also produced a curated soundtrack titled The Lion King: The Gift, which features new songs performed by multiple artists. The nominees were announced on 1 November 2021, following the opening of the voting portal, with Wizkid leading with eight nominations. Tems, and Diamond Platnumz with six nominations. Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, and Focalistic with five nominations. Wizkid had the highest award winnings at the 7th AEAUSA Awards by securing 5 awards at the ceremony.
Tárico Caifaz Samuel Simbine known professionally as DJ Tarico, is a Mozambican DJ, sound engineer and record producer from Maputo signed to Geobek Records. The main man of the Yaba Buluku Boyz, Tarico is noted for his production credits and his 2021 self produced single "Yaba Buluku" off his sophomore studio album Moz Piano Vol. 2 which became an instant hit in several countries and helped in popularizing Amapiano, described by Billboard as a hit for all season.
Charlene Ebai-Ebi Egbe is a Cameroonian-Norwegian events compere, hype queen, fitness instructor and media and entertainment entrepreneur, popularly known as MC Charlene and the Energy Goddess. In 2019 she was unveiled as the MC of the year at the Scandinavia Africa Music Award (SAMA) and she emerged as the Best MC at the Muzikol Music Awards (MUMA) in Norway in 2020.
