The Muzikol Music Awards (commonly known as the MUMA) is a music awards program developed by a technology company in Cameroon called ABEBOH and run by its Music product called Muzikol. The Main objective of Muzikol Music awards is to reward and celebrate outstanding performances in the African and Cameroonian Music Industries. [1] Muzikol Music Awards is aimed at celebrating the African music Industry through the music, the musicians and all the music professionals who make up the music industry. [2]
Muzikol Music Awards was launched to give back recognition for well-deserved African music stakeholders free of bias and favors. The MUMAs do this by using Artificial Intelligence tools in the nominations process, voting system, and also in determining the final winners. [3] In 2017, Nges Brian founded Muzikol which is a one-stop-shop for musical services and products and also a music social network to sell Cameroonian musical products and at the same time, connect the Musicians with friends and families. [4] In 2020, Muzikol expanded its activities from online to offline by launching and executing the first edition of the Muzikol Music Awards in Douala - Cameroon which brought together thousands of music stakeholders from allover Cameroon [5]
Muzikol Music Awards is divided into two main types of categories namely statistics categories and voters categories. In the Statistics Categories, a panel of judges called the Nominations Committee selects the nominees through a grading process. The nominees submit judging forms through the Awards portal and the final judging committee selects the final winners through a grading process. In the Voters Categories, the general public submits nominees through the online portal. The nominations committee selects the final nominees through a grading process. The winners for voters Categories come directly from the web portal using votes. [6]
MUMA 2020 was a celebrated program for music stakeholders in Cameroon and across Africa. Burna Boy, Wizkid, Eddy Kenzo, Shatta Wale, Rudeboy and many others were the nominees for MUMA 2020. [7] [8]

The Headies is a music awards show established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The annual ceremony features performances by established and promising artists. It is broadcast live on HipTV to viewers across Nigeria. The first and second editions of The Headies were held at the Muson Center in Onikan, Lagos State. Between 2010 and 2012, the awards were held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Several media personalities in Nigeria have hosted the annual ceremony, including Darey Art Alade, D'banj, Dakore Egbuson, Banky W., Rita Dominic, M.I, Tiwa Savage and Dr SID.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist. He is known by his stage name Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana. Shatta Wale changed his name to "Bandana'' after senior high school and released the hit track "Bandana from Ghana". The song made tremendous air waves in the Ghanaian music industry in 2004. Shatta Wale's sudden rise to the occasion happen in 2013 VGMA awards when he threw lyrical insults to VGMA now Telecel Ghana Music Awards ( TGMA)". because he proclaimed they robbed him of the Dancehall artist of the year to a female Dancehall artist Kaakie. Even though the song had vulgar lyrics, it was so anticipated by the media which created his musical breakthrough.
Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, is a Ghanaian Afropop, Afro-dancehall and reggae musician from Ashaiman, Accra.
The 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards took place on 31 August 2014, at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The eligibility period was from March 2013 to March 2014. In April 2014, the NEA reviewing committee began collecting submissions for the 2014 edition. The deadline for submission was April 30, 2014, and the nominations were announced on May 29, 2014. Tiwa Savage and Davido received the most nominations with 5 each. Don Jazzy, Flavour N'abania and Wizkid all got four nominations each, while Olamide, Patoranking, Chidinma and Oritse Femi followed closely with three nominations.
The 2014 Channel O Music Video Awards took place on 29 November 2014 at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto. Nominees were announced on 4 September. Cassper Nyovest, K.O and Davido led the nominations with 5 each. DJ Clock's hit song "Pluto", which features the singing trio Beatenberg, followed with 4. AKA and Uhuru both received three nominations apiece. Cassper Nyovest and Diamond Platnumz both took home three awards apiece.

Falz gained wider recognition after releasing the song "Marry Me" featuring vocals from Poe and Yemi Alade.
Francisca Gawugah known by the stage name Sista Afia, is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter from Accra. She gained recognition following the release of her single "Jeje", which features dancehall artist Shatta Wale and Afezi Perry.

He was nominated for the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Lagos, Nigeria 2017 edition in the category of Best Male Central Africa. As part of his career, in March 2017 he became the brand ambassador of Itel Mobile in Cameroon.

The Lion King: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack for the 2019 photorealistic CGI remake of Disney's 1994 animated feature film of the same name. It features songs from the original film written by Elton John and Tim Rice and performed by the film's cast. Tárico Caifaz Samuel Simbine known professionally as DJ Tarico, is a Mozambican DJ, sound engineer and record producer from Maputo signed to Geobek Records. The main man of the Yaba Buluku Boyz, Tarico is noted for his production credits and his 2021 self produced single "Yaba Buluku" off his sophomore studio album Moz Piano Vol. 2 which became an instant hit in several countries and helped in popularizing Amapiano, described by Billboard as a hit for all season.
