Muzykalnaya Gazeta was a Belarusian weekly newspaper covered music and show business. [1]
It was founded in Minsk by publisher Anatoĺ Kiriuškin (Publishing house ”Nestor“) in 1996. The newspaper came out once a week initially, later on once every two weeks, in Russian, and was distributed across the territory of the Republic of Belarus, as well as through private distributors in the markets of Ukraine and Russia. [2] In different years, the circulation ranged from 7,000 to 19,500 copies, then it fell sharply and continued to decline in subsequent years, while the last issue was published in December 2007 with a circulation of 2,514 copies. [3]
By 2003, the newspaper was published in color and informed on the West and the Belarusian and Russian music scenes. Since 2003, the newspaper began to write only on topics of Belarusian music (Western music coverage migrated into the new magazine “НОТ-7”), changed the design, and switched to 8 pages (instead of 16) in black and white. Almost from the very beginning, the chief editor was Oleg “О’К” Klimov, a famous Belarusian music journalist. [6] [7] [8] During its existence, the newspaper has become a landmark publication for Belarusian music lovers [9] [10] and was a success in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, mainly due to the large number of published materials and the high (in the early years) quality of publications. Due financial reasons, the newspaper ceased to exist on the eve of 2008. [12] [13] [14]
N.R.M. are a rock band from Minsk, Belarus, founded in 1981 as Mroja. They are considered to be the most popular rock band in the country. They perform in the Belarusian language, and are a rallying point for political opposition to the Belarusian government, despite being the target of a performance ban from 2006 to 2009.

Since 2006, they have released two full albums and several EP and singles, but nowadays the musicians play together mostly as a cover band. In addition to that, since March 2017 Vitaliy Matievskiy, frontman of the band, promotes his synth-pop duo Days of Days and since June 2018 he also writes music for his solo electronic music project MATIVI.

First published on 2 August 1927, from 1994 it is the official newspaper of the Presidential Administration of Belarus. European Union has described Sovetskaya Belorussiya as the "main propaganda newspaper" in Belarus.

Jitters was a rock band from Minsk, Belarus, which played mostly rock 'n' roll and post-grunge. The band was formed in 1998 and released the album Split Before, Together Now, as well as several EPs. In 2007, Jitters broke up and its members joined other groups: Konstantin Karman teamed up with Hair Peace Salon, and Ivan Barzenka and Pavel Kudrin joined beZ bileta.
