Daniel Rezende is a Brazilian film editor and director. He won the BAFTA Award for Best Editing for his work on the 2002 film City of God and was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film Editing for the same film. City of God was listed as the 17th best-edited film of all time in a 2012 survey of members of the Motion Picture Editors Guild. In a 2003 interview to Channel 4, Rezende has described the editing process of City of God, saying he tried to "provoke differing sensations in each of the film's phases".
