Overview

The book was published in Indonesia in late 2007, written by ex-Burgerkill bassist Kimung. Ryan Koesuma of "Deathrockstar" online magazine noted: "The book is a fragment about Indonesia underground music scene. This published was one of success effort to record a local and modern subculture. [2] Not only about Ivan Scumbag as an ordinary human, the book described about Burgerkill, the band that Ivan Scumbag and Kimung formed. Besides that, the book was a side story of the "Ujungberung Rebels" community. [3]

Burgerkill is an Indonesian metal band, originally from Bandung, capital city of West Java. The band is named after the fast food restaurant Burger King as a prank. The band was founded in May 1995 by Aris Tanto a.k.a. Eben, sometimes called 'Ebenz', a young man from Jakarta, who came to Bandung to continue his study. In Bandung, Ebenz met Ivan Scumbag, Kimung, and Dadan. This four personnel became the first line-up of Burgerkill. In 2013, the band won Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards for Metal As F*ck category.

<i>Beyond Coma and Despair</i> 2006 studio album by Burgerkill

Beyond Coma and Despair is the third album by Indonesian metal band Burgerkill, released in 2006. The album was also released in Australia two years later. This is the band's last album to feature Ivan Scumbag on lead vocals before his death in July 2006. Two music videos were produced for "Shadow of Sorrow" and "Angkuh". Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine ranked the album No. 113 on their "150 Greatest Indonesian Albums of All Time" list.

Ivan & Alyosha, also known as I&A, is a folk-pop, indie, rock band from Seattle, Washington formed in 2007 by Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary. Wonderbra (band) is an Indonesian independent band from Depok, West Java. The group was formed in 2005 and consists of Teraya Paramehta (vocals), Nosa Normanda (guitar), Asep Rachman Muchlas (Bass) and Yuda Wahyudin (guitar). They have released two albums: Crossing The Railroad (2007) and #fiksifriksi (2011).

HMGNC is an Indonesian electronic and synth-pop band from Bandung, West Java. Named after Icelandic singer Bjork’s 1997 album Homogenic, the band was formed in 2002 as Homogenic before assumed its present name in 2015. Current members are Amandia Syachridar (vocals), Dina Dellyana and Grahadea Kusuf. Risa Saraswati was the original lead singer and one of the founding members of the band until she left in 2009 to pursue her solo career and formed her own band Sarasvati. HMGNC perform songs in both Indonesian and English and have produced four studio albums: Epic Symphony (2004), Echoes of the Universe (2006), Let a Thousand Flowers Bloom (2010), HMGNC (2017) and one EP: Let's Talk (2012).
