The Myanmar Christian Fellowship of the Blind, founded in 1975, is a non-profit organization that created schools for the well-being of the Blind Christians in Myanmar. [1]

While the school campus in Yangon was developed, the Myitkyina education centre for the Blind was also opened by the missions of MCFB in 1980. Admissions are checked through blind children aged five to twenty five (was fourteen at the earlier time), but it was allowed from all backgrounds of sex, race or religion. [2] Its activities comprising the competition of all sports game for disable in Myanmar Blind Schools, training, refresher welcome, celebration of MCFB day, music and arts performance, community exchange program, and so on. To date, Myitkyina education centre had admitted 75 blind children (2007) while Yangon education centre with a total of 152 in 2006.

Yangon, formerly romanized as Rangoon, is the capital of the Yangon Region and the largest city of Myanmar. Yangon served as the capital of Myanmar until 2006, when the military government relocated the administrative functions to the purpose-built capital city of Naypyidaw in north central Myanmar. Myitkyina is the capital city of Kachin State in Myanmar (Burma), located 1,480 kilometers (920 mi) from Yangon, and 785 kilometers (488 mi) from Mandalay. In Burmese it means "near the big river", and Myitkyina is on the west bank of the Ayeyarwady River, just below 40 kilometers (25 mi) from Myit-son of its two headstreams. It is the northernmost river port and railway terminus in Myanmar. The city is served by Myitkyina Airport.
The University of Yangon, located in Kamayut, Yangon, is the oldest university in Myanmar's modern education system and the best known university in Myanmar. The university offers mainly undergraduate and postgraduate degrees programs in liberal arts, sciences and law. Full-time bachelor's degrees were not offered at the university's main campus after the student protests of 1996. The bachelor's degree was re-offered from 2014 on. Today degrees in Political Science are offered to undergraduate students, as well as postgraduate diplomas in areas such as social work and geology.

The University of Computer Studies, Yangon (UCSY), located in the outskirts of Yangon in Hlawga, is the leading IT and computer science university of Myanmar. The university, administered by the Ministry of Education, offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in computer science and technology. The language of instruction at UCSY is English. Along with the University of Computer Studies, Mandalay, UCSY is one of two premier universities specializing in computer studies, and also one of the most selective universities in the country.
The diocese of Lashio is a Roman Catholic diocese of Myanmar centered at Lashio. The diocesan territory covers a land area of 61,266 square kilometers. Philip Lasap Za Hawng is the current bishop of Lashio.
The De La Salle Brothers in Myanmar are part of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, the largest congregation of Roman Catholic religious Brothers who are exclusively dedicated to education. The Institute was founded in Reims, France in 1680, with over 75,000 Brothers and lay colleagues who conduct schools as well as educational works in about 80 countries worldwide. Karen Baptist Convention is a Baptist Christian denomination in Myanmar. The headquarters is in Yangon. It is affiliated with the Myanmar Baptist Convention. Leaderships in the organization are for a three-year term and can only be re-elected for two more terms if they do not reach the age of 60 years at the end of next three-year term. It has 20 associations. KBC is doing mission works not only in Karen people but also to other tribes and races. KBC maintains one press called the Go Forward Press. KBC also operates [Karen Baptist Theological Seminary] and Karen Baptist Convention's Hospital at Insein, Yangon.
International Language & Business Centre (ILBC) is a private school established on May 2, 1995, in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. It has established 26 schools in eight major cities of the country: Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw, Myitkyina, Taunggyi, Monywa, Lashio, Taungoo, and Myeik.
Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary is a private Christian college located in Mosokwin Road, Myaungmya, about 137 miles (220 km) west of Yangon, the Yangon International Airport of Myanmar. The 56.00 acre estate and the site of the campus provide a conductive environment to learning and mediation. It is the only tertiary education institution serving Myanmar Union Mission. It is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world's second largest Christian school system.
