Mykhailo Kuzmych Rodionov (Ukrainian : Михайло Кузьмич Родіонов; 10 July 1937 – 15 September 2022) was a Ukrainian politician. A member of the Communist Party of Ukraine, he served in the Verkhovna Rada from 2002 to 2006. [1]

Rodionov died in Kyiv on 15 September 2022, at the age of 85. [2]

Moroz lost parliamentary representation when the Socialist Party failed to secure sufficient number of votes (2.86%) in the 2007 snap parliamentary election, falling 0.14% short of the 3% election threshold.

Mykola Volodymyrovych Tomenko is a Ukrainian politician. He has been a member of Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada from 2006 until 2016. In 2014, Tomenko became a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, which elected him to the 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada on its party lists during the 2014 parliamentary election. On 25 March 2016 the party Congress of Petro Poroshenko Bloc removed Tomenko's parliamentary mandate using the Imperative mandate provisions of the Ukrainian constitution. This was considered illegal by Tomenko; on 28 July 2016 Ukraine's highest Administrative Court rejected his appeal to gain back his parliamentary seat.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 7th convocation was a convocation of the legislative branch of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's unicameral parliament. Its composition was based on the results of the 2012 parliamentary election. Half of the seats in the parliament were apportioned between the five winning parties based on the popular vote, while the other half was apportioned between 4 parties and 44 independents between 225 constituencies throughout the country. It first met in the capital Kyiv on December 12, 2012, and ended its session on November 27, 2014, after the 8th Verkhovna Rada began its first session.

Derussification in Ukraine is a process of removing Russian influence from the post-Soviet country of Ukraine. This derussification started after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and intensified with the demolition of monuments to Lenin during Euromaidan in 2014 and the further systemic process of decommunization in Ukraine. Previously, he served as Governor of Lviv Oblast from 21 December 2010 to 2 November 2011 and as Governor of Ternopil Oblast on two occasions, first from 17 July 2004 to 19 January 2005 and later from 16 June to 21 December 2010.
