Mymensingh Premier League or MPL or Walton MPL was a franchise cricket tournament held in Mymensingh Division, Bangladesh. Every team had two National Team players. The tournament was held between 21 and 25 December 2020. T Sports will broadcast the semi-final and final matches. All matches will be played at Circuit house ground. The tournament is sponsored by Walton Group. [1] [2] Mymensingh Riders won the trophy after beating Mymensingh Thunders by eight wickets. [3]

Mohammad Mahmudullah, also known as Riyad, is a Bangladeshi cricketer and former T20I captain. He has played First-class and List A cricket for Dhaka Division and has represented Bangladesh in all forms of the game. An all-rounder, he is a lower or middle-order batsman as well as an off spin bowler. He has almost 10,000 runs and 150+ wickets. He is prominent for his ability to finish a close limited over game. He is the first Bangladeshi to score a World Cup hundred. Mahmudullah started his career as a bowler and then converted into a batsman who could bowl off-breaks.

The players auction for the 2012 Bangladesh Premier League was held on 19 January 2012 at the Hotel Radisson, Dhaka. Each franchise can sign a total of 10 local players and 8 foreign players, and can play up to 5 foreign players in each match. Each franchise will also have one domestic icon player in their team. Players were allowed to set their base price between $20,000 to $100,000.

The players auction for the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League was held on December 20, 2012, at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka. Domestic players were set a base price between $10,000 and $50,000, while international players were set a base price between $15,000 and $75,000.No Indian players included in 2013 BPL edition.

The 2020–21 Bangabandhu T20 Cup was a Twenty20 cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was played by five teams, during November and December 2020. In November 2020, more than 100 players began to undertake fitness tests, ahead of a players' draft for the tournament. The players' draft took place on 12 November 2020, with the tournament starting in the third week of November. Two days later, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the full schedule for the tournament.

The players' draft for the 2022–23 Bangladesh Premier League took place on 23 November 2022 at Le Meridian Hotel in Dhaka.

The players' draft for the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League took place on 24 September 2023 at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Dhaka.
