N. Rajangam was an Indian politician and former Minister for Harijan Welfare (Tamil Nadu Government) and former Member of Parliament,Rajya Sabha.
Born in 1920 in the village of Karunguzhi in (then South Arcot District) Cuddalore district,Mr. Rajangam started in public life as a member and organizer in the Nandanar movement. In 1937,he was arrested for his participation in Anti-Hindi agitations of Tamil Nadu (Mozhi Por),a movement against the imposition of Hindi as a compulsory language. Mr. Rajangam started his professional life as the warden at Nandanar high school,Chidambaram.
He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from Kurinjipadi constituency as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate in 1962,1967,and 1971 elections. [1] [2] [3] During his tenure,he was appointed the Minister of Harijan Welfare and was instrumental in the establishment of Tamil Nadu Harijan Housing and Development Corporation (THHADCO) in 1974. Later in 1984 he was elected to the Rajya Sabha as a Member of Parliament from Tamilnadu and served in various consultative committees in the department of Railways,Steel &Industries,Coal and Mines,etc.
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is a political party based in the state of Tamil Nadu where it is currently the ruling party having a comfortable majority without coalition support and the union territory of Puducherry where it is currently the main opposition.

Munisamy Thambidurai is an Indian politician who served as the Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha and leader of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in the Lok Sabha,the lower house of the Indian Parliament. He came into the limelight when he issued a dissent note in the JPC report on the Bofors Scandal against a clean chit to Rajiv Gandhi government. He was murdered in 2004.

Meenakshisundaram Kalyanasundaram was an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. During 7 April 1949 –9 April 1952,he was the minister for Firka development,Khadi,Cottage industries,Fisheries,Cinchona and Harijan uplift in the P. S. Kumaraswamy Raja cabinet. During 1952–54,he was the mayor of Madras. From 13 April 1954 until 31 March 1957,he was the minister for Transport,Harijan Uplift,Hindu Religious Endowments,Registration and Prohibition in K. Kamaraj's first cabinet. During 1958–62,he was a member of the Rajya Sabha –the upper house of the Indian parliament.
K. S. Ramaswamy Gounder was an Indian politician and former Member of Parliament elected from Tamil Nadu. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Gobichettipalayam constituency as an Indian National Congress candidate in 1957 and 1977 election. He was the union deputy minister for Home,Education and Social Welfare in Indira Gandhi's ministry. He is the son of the freedom fighter K.K Subbanna Gounder. K. Gopal is an Indian doctor and politician. He obtained a M.B.B.S degree from Thanjavur Medical College. Gopal was a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Nannilam 1991 to 1996. In 2014 he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Nagapattinam as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate in the 2014 election. He won the seat with 46.06% and was elected Member of Parliament for Nagapattinam for 16th Lok Sabha.
