NAJ Cosfest, is an annual cosplay event held every year in the month of July at Kohima in the Indian state of Nagaland. [1] [2] The two-day festival is organised by the Nagaland Anime Junkies and is the biggest cosplay festival in the Northeast region of India. [3] [4]

History

The Nagaland Anime Junkies was founded in 2011 by Biebe Natso. It started as a Facebook page to connect people with Anime interests from Nagaland. [5]

The first edition of the NAJ Cosfest was held on 29 June 2013 with an attendance of 500. [6]

Biren Singh ministry led BJP government in Manipur. The party also believes in Conservative Christianity and also encourages it.

Ai-Kon is an annual three-day anime convention held on a weekend during the month of July in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Ai-Kon was first held at the University of Manitoba in 2001 and is currently held at the RBC Convention Centre. The convention's name is a blend of the words ai and convention and is derived from its slogan "For the love of anime". The word ai was also chosen to play on the fact that the club had a magazine they called Anime Injection.

Tekko is an annual four-day anime convention held during July at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The convention has been held in various locations around the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and is run by a non-profit organization, the Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society (PJCS). Tekkoshocon's name was a blend of the Japanese word tekkosho, meaning steel mill, and adapting the suffix "-con", which is a common nomenclature archetype among such conventions.

Kumoricon is an annual three-day anime convention held during October or November at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. The name of the convention comes from the Japanese word Kumori (曇り), meaning cloudy. Kumoricon is run by a volunteer staff and was previously held in Vancouver, Washington at the Hilton Vancouver Washington/Red Lion Vancouver at the Quay.

Viswema, is a Southern Angami Naga village in the Kohima District of the Indian state of Nagaland. With a resident population of 7417, it is the second biggest village in the state and is part of the contiguous built-up of the Kohima Metropolitan Area that extends into the neighboring areas of Jakhama, Kigwema and Khuzama in the Southern Angami region, forming the second largest urban agglomerations in Nagaland. Its vast territory also lies across the inter-state boundary in Manipur where notable features including Mount Tempü (Iso) at 9822 feet (2994m) also the highest peak in Manipur, the thick forest of Kezol-tsa and a major portion of the Dzüko Valley is located.

Miss Nagaland is a state beauty pageant held annually since 1989 in the Northeastern Indian state of Nagaland. Miss Nagaland does not officially send any of its winners or previous contestants to participate in other beauty pageants.
