The Brisbane Bullets are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League (NBL) based in Brisbane, Queensland. They competed from 1979 to 2008, and returned to the league in 2016. Brisbane were one of ten NBL foundation teams and have won three NBL championships, being successful in the 1985 and 1987 seasons, and again in 2007. They have also competed in the 1984, 1986 and 1990 grand finals and have reached the playoffs 22 times.

The Illawarra Hawks are an Australian professional basketball team based in Wollongong, New South Wales. Cameron Richard Gliddon is an Australian professional basketball player for the Auckland Tuatara of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He is also contracted with the New Zealand Breakers of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played four years of college basketball for Concordia University before returning to Australia and joining the Cairns Taipans. Nunawading Spectres is a NBL1 South club based in Melbourne, Victoria. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 South. The club is a division of Melbourne East Basketball Association (MEBA), the major administrative basketball organisation in the region. The Spectres play their home games at Nunawading Basketball Centre.

Nathan Adam Sobey is an Australian professional basketball player for the Brisbane Bullets of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the University of Wyoming's Cowboys. He was a member of the Australian Boomers team that won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Shea Ili is a New Zealand professional basketball player for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League (NBL). Ili was raised in Māngere Bridge, playing his basketball at Onehunga High School and appearing for Counties Manukau in rep teams before appearing in the New Zealand NBL with the Auckland Pirates in 2012. In 2014, he joined the New Zealand Breakers as a development player. That season, he was a member of the Breakers' championship-winning team. In 2016, he was elevated to the Breakers' full-time roster, and in February 2018, he was named the NBL Most Improved Player for the 2017–18 season.

The NBL1 West Most Valuable Player (MVP) is an annual NBL1 West award given to the best performing player of the regular season. Known as the State Basketball League (SBL) MVP from 1989 to 2019, the SBL was rebranded to NBL1 West in 2021.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Xavier Cooks</span> Australian basketball player

Xavier Cooks is an Australian professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Winthrop Eagles, where he was named the 2018 Big South Conference Player of the Year. In 2022, he helped the Sydney Kings win the NBL championship while earning Grand Final MVP honours. In 2023, he was named NBL MVP and won his second straight NBL championship.

Reuben Te Rangi is a New Zealand professional basketball player for the Auckland Tuatara of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He is also contracted with the South East Melbourne Phoenix of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) and is a regular New Zealand Tall Black.
