The NCAA Cheerleading Competition previously known as NCAA Cheerdance Competition is an annual one-day event of the National Collegiate Athletic Association for cheerleading in the Philippines.

Contents

In the 87th season of the NCAA, cheerleading has been upgraded to a regular sport which means it will contribute points in the overall championship race. [1]

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), established in 1938, is an athletic association of eight Metro Manila universities in the Philippines. The eight-member schools are Adamson University, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), National University (NU), University of the East (UE), University of the Philippines Diliman (UP), and the University of Santo Tomas (UST). The National Collegiate Athletic Association volleyball tournament occurs every second semester of the academic year. It is divided into three divisions: the Juniors division for high school male students and the Seniors division which is subdivided into Men's Senior division for male college students and Women's Senior division for female college students.

The San Sebastian Golden Stags are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball team of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos. Their 5 consecutive NCAA seniors basketball championships was the longest streak in the NCAA.

Januario "Aric" del Rosario was a Filipino basketball player and coach who served as head coach of the UST Growling Tigers in the UAAP, Pampanga Dragons in the Metropolitan Basketball Association, the 2003 RP Men's Team in the Southeast Asian Games, and of the UPHSD Altas from 2012 to 2015; until he retired and was made a consultant of the team in the NCAA. He was also a consultant and assistant Coach of Toyota-Balintawak Road Kings in the Philippine Basketball League. He was the commissioner of the NCAA (Philippines) from 2009 to 2011.

The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) is a Catholic-oriented, co-educational, private university, with campuses at Las Piñas, Bacoor, Cavite and Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines. The university offers programs in preschool, primary, secondary, tertiary levels, as well as short term vocational, technical, and special programs.

NCAA Season 87 is the 2011–12 season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) of the Philippines. The host school, University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD), led the opening ceremonies at the Araneta Coliseum on July 2, 2011. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments will be aired by ABS-CBN and Studio 23 for the tenth consecutive season, while the men's basketball events will be simulcast on DZRJ-AM.

The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 87 are the Philippines' National Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments for basketball in its 2011–12 season. University of Perpetual Help System DALTA hosted the season, starting with an opening ceremony held on July 2, 2011 followed by a triple-header game. Games then are subsequently being held at Filoil Flying V Arena, with men's games on Wednesdays, Fridays and select Monday games aired by Studio 23.

Juneric "Jong" Davalos Baloria is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Batangas City Embassy Chill of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was drafted 30th overall pick by the Blackwater Elite in the 2014 PBA draft. He was traded to the NLEX Road Warriors along with 2016 and 2017 second round picks for Jason Ballesteros and Sunday Salvacion.

The Perpetual Altas basketball program represents University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) in men's basketball as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The Perpetual Altas have never won the NCAA championship ever since joining in 1984.

The 2021 Letran Knights men's basketball team represented Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the 97th season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in the Philippines. The men's basketball tournament for the school year 2021-22 began in the second semester on March 26, 2022, and the host school for the season is De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde.

Louie Ramirez is a Filipino volleyball player. He is currently playing as an Outside Hitter and Opposite Hitter for the Perpetual Altas in the NCAA and Imus City-AJAA Spikers in the Spikers' Turf.
