The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is an athletics association of ten private colleges and universities in Metro Manila, Philippines. Established in 1924, it is the oldest collegiate athletic association in the country. The Philippine NCAA is not affiliated with the NCAA of the United States.
The NCAA basketball championships are the basketball championships of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). There are two tournaments, usually held at the same time, the seniors' tournament for male collegiate students, and the juniors' tournament for male senior high school students. If a school wins both championships in one season, it said that they have won the "double championship."
The National Collegiate Athletic Association General Championship is awarded to the school with the most points garnered in an academic year in the NCAA. It is split into the Juniors' division and to the Seniors' division.
La Salle Green Hills ("LSGH") is a private Catholic school run by the Philippine District of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1959 by the De La Salle Brothers led by Brother H. Gabriel Connon, FSC primarily to provide more slots to students wishing to avail of the then very popular De La Salle primary education offered in Taft Avenue, Manila.

The Letran Knights are the collegiate varsity teams representing Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the Lady Knights, while the high school varsity teams are called the Squires.
The PCU Dolphins are the senior athletic teams that represent Philippine Christian University. They are currently playing at the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU), after spending a leave of absence from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball.
The San Beda Red Lions is the collegiate varsity basketball team of the San Beda University that plays in the NCAA. The juniors basketball team is called the Red Cubs of San Beda University–Rizal, while the women's varsity basketball team is called the Red Lionesses. The latter plays in the Women's National Collegiate Athletic Association.
The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. The collegiate women's varsity basketball team is called the Lady Eagles. The Ateneo collegiate men's varsity basketball team was not always called the Blue Eagles. It got the name Blue Eagles when Ateneo adopted the Eagle as its mascot in 1938. Prior to that, from 1914 it was known under different names.
The De La Salle Green Archers are the men's varsity teams representing De La Salle University in the Philippines. The women's varsity teams are generally referred to as the De La Salle Lady Archers. The school's varsity teams participate in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, among others. La Salle is represented in the high school level by De La Salle Zobel, and are known as the Zobel Junior Archers.
The Zobel Junior Archers is the varsity team of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School and is the Juniors' team of De La Salle University's De La Salle Green Archers in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. Its girls' team, the Lady Junior Archers, is De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde's Junior's team to the Women's National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Audra Marie Cohen is an American former professional tennis player and current college tennis coach. She was the # 1 collegiate female tennis player in the United States in 2007. At the University of Miami in 2005-2006 she was named the ITA National Player of the Year and was the National Indoor Champion, and in 2006-07 she won the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship, the NCAA Singles Championship, and the ITA National Player of the Year award. She is currently the head women's tennis coach at the University of Oklahoma.
The La Salle Green Hills Greenies (officially the Benilde–LSGH Greenies in the NCAA, is the varsity team representing La Salle Green Hills is the junior affiliate team of the St. Benilde Blazers in the NCAA. Since LSGH is an all-boys school, the Greenies do not have a girls' team.
The Mapúa Cardinals are the varsity sports teams of Mapúa University that play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines).
