The 2010 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit is a North American beach volleyball tour. The tour consisted in ten tournaments in both genders.

Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two players on a sand court divided by a net. As in indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court, and to prevent the same effort by the opponent. A team is allowed up to three touches to return the ball across the net, and individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively except after making a block touch. The ball is put in play with a serve—a hit by the server from behind the rear court boundary over the net to the opponents. The rally continues until the ball is grounded on the playing court, goes "out", or a fault is made in the attempt to return the ball. The team that wins the rally scores a point and serves to start the following rally. The four players serve in the same sequence throughout the match, changing server each time a rally is won by the receiving team.

The Cayman Islands is an autonomous British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea. The 264-square-kilometre (102-square-mile) territory comprises the three islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, which are located to the south of Cuba and northeast of Honduras, between Jamaica and the Yucatán Peninsula. As of spring 2018, the total population of the Cayman Islands is estimated to be 64,420 making it the second-most populated British overseas territory after Bermuda. The capital city is George Town, situated on Grand Cayman, by far the most populous of the three islands.

The North American zone see the zones divided into two Caribbean, Central and Central American zones. The two Caribbean zones will meet and then go up against the Central American zone in the inter-zonal tournaments. Both Caribbean zones will have an elimination bracket where two teams per country competing in a two-game series, if there is a tie a fifth game will be played by both countries. In the second round of the bracket the series will be a best of three. The winner and runner up of the main bracket and of the repechage will advance to the next round. The winner of the 2010–12 Continental Beach Volleyball Cup will advance to the Olympics. 29 out of 31 possible nations entered plus two non-IOC members entered both the men's and women's tournaments.

2014 Pan American Sports Festival

The I Pan American Sports Festival was a multi-sport event held between 11 July and 30 September 2014 in Mexico. The Festival was organized by the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO).

Beach volleyball competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 13 to 21 at a temporary facility in Exhibition Place called the Chevrolet Beach Volleyball Centre. A total of two beach volleyball tournaments were held: one each for the men and women.

2015 NACAC Championships in Athletics

The 2015 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships was a regional track and field competition held at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica from August 7-9, 2015. It was the second edition of a senior track and field championship for the NACAC region, held eight years after the first.

Jineiry Martínez is a Dominican volleyball player who played the 2015 FIVB World Cup with the Dominican Republic national team. She won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games. With her under ages national teams, she won the gold medal in the 2015 FIVB U20 World Championship, silver in the 2013 FIVB U23 World Championship and bronze in the 2015 FIVB U23 World Championship.
