NTV is a Kenyan general entertainment channel. The channel began operating on April 4, 2005, and is a revamp from the previous Nation TV station under the Nation Media Group arm that has been in existence since 1999.
Nation Media Group is a Kenyan media group listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. NMG was founded by Aga Khan IV in 1959 and is the largest private media house in East and Central Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. In 1999, NMG launched NTV, a news channel in Kenya, and Easy FM.
It is a popular TV Station in Kenya along with Kenya Television Network, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation among other Kenyan broadcasting channels. [1]
Kenya Television Network (KTN) is one of the leading television stations in Kenya with its headquarters located along Mombasa Road Nairobi, at the Standard Group Centre Nairobi. It was founded in March 1990 by Jared Kangwana and was the first non-pay privately owned TV-station in Africa, and the first to break KBC's monopoly in Kenya. KTN became famous for Activism Journalism in the 1990s, developing a sophisticated, aggressive and unique style news coverage, and has continued with the same hard line stance, issues-based reporting to date, branding itself as the 'authoritative and independent' news channel. KTN became the model for some governments in Africa when they allowed media liberalisation to take place in the late 1990s. Many of the new radio and TV stations across East and Central Africa not only relied on KTN as a model, but benefited directly in terms of recruiting former KTN staff to run their operations.
Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is the state-run media organisation of Kenya. It broadcasts in English and Swahili, as well as in most local languages of Kenya. The corporation started its life in 1928 when Kenya was a British colony. In 1964, when Kenya became an independent country, the corporation's name was changed to Voice of Kenya. In 1989, the Kenyan parliament reverted the corporation's name from Voice of Kenya to Kenya Broadcasting Corporation.
In September 2007, NTV went online with its content on YouTube. Within the first month it received over 325,000 views, three honors, and an average of 4,000 views for every video uploaded. In mid-2012, NTV went live on YouTube. Following this move, the blogosphere was awash with accolades with NTV's US correspondent (BMJ) Ben Mutua Jonathan Muriithi terming it a techno-revolution for mass media among Kenyans across the globe.

Muriithi is also a regional reporter and correspondent for NTV, a Kenyan media outlet, QTV, and the Nation Newspaper, all owned by Nation Media Group (NMG). He previously worked for The Standard of Kenya as a US correspondent.

The station is owned by the Univision Local Media subsidiary of Univision Communications, as part of a duopoly with Ponce-licensed independent station WSTE-DT ; it is also sister to radio stations WKAQ and WKAQ-FM (104.7). All of the stations share studios on Calle Carazo in Guaynabo, where WLII's transmitter is also located.

KHGI-TV, virtual and VHF digital channel 13, is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Kearney, Nebraska, United States, serving most of central and western Nebraska and the northern third of Kansas. The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group as part of a duopoly with Lincoln-licensed Fox affiliate KFXL-TV. The two stations share studios on Nebraska Highway 44 in Axtell, about 14 miles (23 km) south of Kearney. KHGI also operates a secondary studio facility at the Conestoga Mall in Grand Island.
