Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros was an American folk rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2005. The group was led by singer Alex Ebert. The band's name is based on a story Ebert wrote in his youth, about a messianic figure named Edward Sharpe. Drawing from roots rock, folk, gospel, and psychedelic music, the band's image and sound evoke the hippie movement of the 1960s and 1970s. The group's first show was played July 18, 2007, at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. Their first studio album, Up from Below, was released on July 7, 2009, on Community Records and featured the popular single "Home". The group released their second full-length album, Here, on May 29, 2012, and third album, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, on July 23, 2013. Their fourth studio album, PersonA, was released in April 2016.
NX Zero is a Brazilian rock band formed in 2001 in São Paulo, the band consists Di Ferrero (vocals), Gee Rocha, Daniel Weksler (drums), Caco Grandino (bass) and Fi Ricardo (guitar).
Zé Ramalho Canta Bob Dylan – Tá Tudo Mudando is the second tribute album by Brazilian singer-songwriter Zé Ramalho, released in 2008. This time, he pays an homage to Bob Dylan, whose "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" had already been covered by him. Most of the songs' lyrics were almost literally rewritten to Portuguese. The album cover is a reference to Dylan's known promotional film clip for the 1965 song "Subterranean Homesick Blues". "O Vento Vai Responder", a cover of "Blowin' in the Wind", was used in the soundtrack of the Rede Globo telenovela, Caminho das Índias.
Sacos Plásticos(Plastic Bags) is the thirteenth studio album released by Brazilian rock band Titãs. It is their first studio album since 2003, their longest non-album gap, and also the first released through Arsenal Music and with producer Rick Bonadio, who had already worked with Fresno, Charlie Brown Jr. and NX Zero. One of the most notable moments was British indie rock band Bloc Party's performance, during which the audience booed the band after noticing they were lip-synching and mimicking to a pre-recorded track instead of singing and playing live. 2008 VMB also had American singer Ben Harper opening the ceremony performing alone, before being joined by Brazilian singer Vanessa da Mata for a second performance.

"Town of Plenty" is a song by English musician Elton John from the album Reg Strikes Back and was released in 1988. The song was the first album track to be heard after John's throat surgery. Pete Townshend of The Who plays acoustic guitar on the track, while Davey Johnstone plays electric. Among the backing vocalists contributing to the track are John's former bandmates Nigel Olsson and Dee Murray. This would be the final album of John's that Murray would contribute to, prior to his death from a stroke in 1992.

It was released on July 23, 2013 in North America and was released on July 29, 2013 around the world through Vagrant Records, Rough Trade Records and Communion Records. Frontman Alex Ebert stated that "These songs mean everything to me - It's the rawest, most liberated, most rambunctious stuff we've done."
Retratos da Humanidade is the only release by Brazilian alternative rock band Revolucionnários. It came out in 2006 through label Champirado Records, founded by vocalist and bassist Champignon, and distributed by Universal Music Group. Produced by Tadeu Patolla and mastered by Rodrigo Castanho, the album spawned the hit singles "Revolucionnários" and "Como num Sonho Perfeito", described by Champignon as a tribute to singer Rita Lee and her band Os Mutantes. A music video, which counted with a guest appearance by actress Karina Bacchi, was made for the latter. Also notable is the track "Natureza", written shortly after Champignon's falling-out with Chorão which prompted him to leave Charlie Brown Jr.
TH6 was a Brazilian alternative rock band from Santos, São Paulo.
Contra Insetos Parasitas is the only release by Brazilian alternative rock band TH6. It was initially made available for streaming on the band's official Myspace page on July 28, 2008, and came out in physical format later on October 14. Produced by vocalist/guitarist/sole lyricist Marcão and Tadeu Patolla, it counted with numerous guest appearances by musicians such as Di Ferrero and Gee Rocha of NX Zero, Badauí of CPM 22, Tico Santa Cruz of Detonautas Roque Clube, Baía of Tihuana, Marcão's former Charlie Brown Jr. bandmates Champignon and Renato Pelado, and Pablo Silva, who had played alongside Champignon on his former project Revolucionnários. A music video was later made for the track "Mesmo Lugar".
ZeroZeroZero is an original soundtrack album by Scottish post-rock band Mogwai, released on 1 May 2020 on Rock Action Records. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was released initially in a download only format via Bandcamp, and for the first week on a pay-what-you-want basis. 50% of the first week's income for the record is to be donated to charities including Help Musicians and various NHS charities.
