Nadya Khamitskaya (born 21 November 1982, in Belarusian SSR) is a dancer and designer, best known for taking part in TV 2's reality show Skal vi danse. [1] Khamitskaya has won the Norwegian national dance championships five times.

Khamitskaya came to Norway aged 17 to advance her dance career. [2]

She is in a relationship with VG-journalist Mads A. Andersen. [3]

Skal vi danse

Khamitskaya became well known as one of the professional dancers for many seasons on Skal vi danse.

Design

Khamitskaya's design is called "Venti Uno", which is Italian and means "21". The clothing design was first shown at Oslo Fashion Week in 2008. [7] [8] [9]

Her design career took off when Khamitskaya designed the gold dress for Therese Johaug at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo [10] and designed Dorthe Skappel's dress for the Gullruten 2011. [11]

Skal vi danse is the Norwegian edition of the British television series, Strictly Come Dancing. It is produced by Monster Entertainment and broadcast on TV 2 Jon Peder Olrud and Geir Bie were producers in the first season. The second and third seasons were produced by Ingvild Daae. The series premiered on TV 2 on January 15, 2006. Skal vi danse? in Norwegian means "shall we dance?" and the Dancing celebrities with professional dancers and companies are reviewed by a panel of judges and the TV viewers. Each pair consists of a celebrity and a professional dancer and the one with the fewest votes does not participate in the next round.

There are Super final winners that were Mona Grudt and Glenn Jørgen Sandaker on December 12, 2008. The super final winners were chosen by the judges depending on points.

Skal vi danse? returned for a sixth season on September 11, 2010 – November 20, 2010. This time the dance was on Saturdays. The judges are the same from season 5. All of the dancers trained in both Cha-Cha-Cha and English Waltz for several weeks.
