Naila Nayem is a Bangladeshi model and actress. [1] She entered show business as a runway model and then became an actress. [2] [3] [4]

Early life

Nayem was born in Barisal, Bangladesh. She completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Dhaka City Dental College, a private medical college, to become a dentist.[ citation needed ]

Career

Besides modeling, Nayem works in TV. and film. She established her acting career by working on the movie Run Out . She acted in Bangla drama Ghat Babu Nitai Candra in 2013 which was based on Sunil Gangopadhyay's novel Ghat Babu. She performed in an item song. She was signed to appear in upcoming film Maruf Taka Dhorena. [5]

Naila used social media to promote herself although according to her, she never thought of using Facebook. [6] [7] [8] She was hired as the campaign image of Foodpanda. [9] She performed an item song in the movie Run Out. [2] She performed on Ananta Jolil in a programme organized by Grameenphone. [10] In 2015 she starred in an award-winning commercial by Bagher Bachcha Digital for LG electronics. [11] Her commercial with Bangladeshi cricketer Sabbir Rahman, promoting a non-alcoholic malt beverage, was banned by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. [12] She starred in a web series called The List by CMV. [13]

Personal life

Naila's ex-husband, Tawsif Hossain Tushar, joined the Islamic State in Syria and appeared in a recruitment video for them. [14] [15]

Sabbir Nasir is a Bangladeshi singer, composer, songwriter. He works on folk fusion, indie pop and blues music. He started performing on stage at the age of 16. He was the vocalist and the lead guitarist of different bands. His last band, Metamorphosis published their first and last album in 1998. Since 1998 till 2018, Sabbir was out of the musical scene. He started singing again in 2018 at the studios and on stages and some of his folk and Blues songs became very much popular among Bangladeshi and Indian Audience. Some of his top Folk singles are "Binodini Rai" which is a duet song, sung along with Sampa Biswas from India, "Amare Dia Dilam Tomare", "Tumi Dome Dom" etc. He got CJFB Award in 2020 for his Single "Horsho". He was recognized with Safekeeper Channel i Digital Award in 2021 for his song "Amare Dia Dilam Tomare". In 2021, for his single "Adha" he won the bronze award in the Male singer category at the Global Music Awards program, organised by a California-based organisation. His first English single "Drowning" was featured in various international magazines.
