Naim Maloku (Serbo-Croatian : Najim Maloku) (born February 17, 1958, in Labljane, FPR Yugoslavia) is a Kosovar Albanian politician and former officer of the Kosovo Liberation Army. He is a member of the Assembly of Kosovo under the banner of the AAK party. In the 2008 presidential election, he was proposed by his party as a candidate for President of Kosovo, and subsequently supported by some other minor parties. He obtained 37 out of 81 required votes in the first round of elections, while his opponent, the president in demise, Fatmir Sejdiu, gained 62 votes. Maloku finally lost his bid to Sejdiu, who received 68 votes in the third round. [1] [2]

The 2010 political crisis in Kosovo started when the Constitutional Court of Kosovo stated that the President of Kosovo Fatmir Sejdiu was violating the Constitution of Kosovo, because he was both president of the Republic of Kosovo and also leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). This resulted in Sejdiu stepping down as president on September 27. A new election was announced for December 12, 2010. Jakup Krasniqi became the acting president of Kosovo until the election.

Dardan Sejdiu is a Kosovo Albanian politician. He served as the leader of the parliamentary group of Social Democratic Party of Kosovo in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. He also served as Deputy Mayor of Prishtina as a member of the capital of the Kosovo between 2014 and 2017, being a member of Vetëvendosje at the time. Previously, he has been engaged for four years as president of the management board of the Slovenian-Kosovo Pension with a key role in managing this fund for the whole of Kosovo. Sejdiu was a member of Vetevendosje from 2011 to 2018.

The parliament of Kosovo held indirect elections for president of Kosovo on 3 and 4 April 2021. The elections successfully concluded after three rounds, with Vjosa Osmani winning 71 votes out of a total possible 120. Three political parties boycotted the vote. Nasuf Bejta, also a member of Guxo, the political party Osmani founded, was the only other candidate who received a vote during any of the other rounds.

Ramë Manaj is a former politician in Kosovo. He was the mayor of Klina from 2001 to 2006 and was one of two deputy prime ministers of the Republic of Kosovo between 2008 and 2010. He was a member of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) during his time in public life and was the party's secretary-general from 2006 to 2010.
