A. W. "Nan" Rae (born 13 January 1944) is a Scottish former competitive swimmer.

Swimming career

She won a bronze medal in the women's 400-metre freestyle at the 1958 European Aquatics Championships. [1] She finished sixth in the same event at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. [2]

She won the 1961 ASA National Championship 220 yards freestyle title and the 440 yards freestyle. [3] [4]

Phyllis Margaret Linton was a British swimmer. Linton competed in the women's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay at the 1952 Summer Olympics. She won the 1950 and 1951 ASA National Championship 110 yards freestyle titles and the 1950 ASA National Championship 220 yards freestyle title. Linton died on 19 November 2023, at the age of 94.

Margaret Therese Girvan was a Scottish swimmer. Girvan competed for Great Britain in the 400 metre and 4 × 100 metres freestyle events at the 1956 Olympics and reached the final in the relay. She represented Scotland at the British Empire Games in 1950, 1954 and 1958 and won one gold and two bronze medals. She won the 1956 ASA National Championship 440 yards freestyle title.

Elizabeth C. Long is a British former swimmer. She competed in three events at the 1964 Summer Olympics.

Susan E Williams is a British former international swimmer.

Judy Wright is a Canadian former swimmer. Wright competed in two events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Despite being Canadian she won the 'Open' British Swimming Championships in 1970, over the 440 yards freestyle and the 880 yards freestyle.
