James Robert "Jim" Kluegel is an American sociologist known for his research on the perception of social inequality in the United States. He is particularly noted for directing a pioneering 1980 survey of Americans' beliefs about social stratification. He is an emeritus professor of sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, where he taught for 27 years before retiring in 2006. He was the head of the Department of Sociology there from 1984 to 1996, and again as acting head from 2003 to 2004.
Cecilia L. Ridgeway is an American sociologist and the Lucie Stern Professor of Social Sciences, Emerita in the Sociology Department at Stanford University. She is known for her research on gender and status processes, specifically on how large, societal-level gender and status inequalities are recreated in face-to-face interaction. Ridgeway served as president of the American Sociological Association in 2013. She also edited Social Psychology Quarterly from 2001 to 2003.

Kim A. Weeden is an American sociologist. She is a professor of sociology at Cornell University, where she is also a Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow and the Jan Rock Zubrow '77 Professor of the Social Sciences. Weeden studies income inequality, the gender wage gap, and what determines the professions that different people enter and the academic majors that students select. She primarily uses large-scale surveys to study these topics.
Nancy Wang Yuen is an American sociologist. She is a professor of sociology at Biola University, where she has also been chair of the sociology department. She specializes in race and ethnicity in film, television, and new media, particularly in Asian American representation and bias in Hollywood filmmaking.
