Nandaa Dorairaj is an Indian actor, producer who primarily works in Tamil films. He made his debut in Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) and later appeared in other films such as Eeram (2009). [2]
Nandaa Dorairaj was born as Govind Durairaj in Coimbatore to Durairaj and Rani. He has a younger brother Karthik and is the grandson of former Union minister M. Kannappan. [3]
Nandaa married Vidyaroopa in 2013. [4]
He was spotted by producer S. Thanu during his family function. In 1998, he joined the Film Institute in Chennai and obtained a diploma in acting after a one-year course. [5] He first signed up to star in a project titled Enna Solla Pogirai opposite Gayathri Raguram, but the film was later stalled. [6] He made his debut in 2002 with the movie Mounam Pesiyadhe along with Suriya and Trisha Krishnan by film director Ameer. Director Ameer was looking for a cheerful and well built hero to play the co-role with Suriya. Nandhaa immediately fit the criteria and was therefore selected for the role. Punnagai Poove in 2003, showed him as a full-time hero. In 2005, he acted in Selvam . In a freak mishap, he suffers an injury on his head and he forgets all about his past. Nandha playing a confused youth has given a good and matured performance. Donning a tricky character. [7] In 2006, he appeared in two movies as Kodambakkam and Aanivaer . He play in action film, Agaram (2007). The film was released to positive reviews. [8] Followed by Urchagam (2007). [9]
His movie Eeram (2009) was a hit produced by director S. Shankar. Following the success of Eeram, director Shankar again cast him in his production for the second time in Anandhapurathu Veedu (2010), directed by Naga. Then he starred alongside Jiiva in Vanthaan Vendraan (2011). He starred in Vellore Maavattam (2011), in which he played a cop. After two years without movies, Nandha became an action hero in movies as Athithi (2014), Katham Katham (2015), Adhibar (2015) and Kallaattam (2016). In 2018 again after Mounam Pesiyadhe, he starred alongside Suriya in Thaana Serndha Kootam directed by Vignesh Shivan for studio green productions, which turned out to be a success. [10] He has also been starred in a web series produced by Ekta Kapoor for Balaji teleflims which was Tamil s first web series directed by Kaushik. [11] The next is Zhagaram (2019) the adventure thriller film. Nandha who plays Akhilan is very fit and passes off as a young man quite convincingly and lends authenticity to the role of the reluctant treasure hunter. [12] In 2020, he acted as dual roles in Vaanam Kottatum . [13]

It also marks the first film for Trisha as lead actress after playing a cameo role in Jodi (1999). The major part of the film is shot in Pondicherry. The film, released on 13 December 2002 and turned out to be a hit at the box office. It was remade in Telugu as Aadanthe Ado Type (2003) and later dubbed in the same language as Kaanchu (2006).

Urchagam is a 2007 Tamil romantic drama film directed by Ravichandran and starring Nandha and Sherin. The storyline is based on the problems and difficulties between a love marriage and arranged marriage. The movie was shot in Chennai, ECR, Puducherry, Goa, and Jothpur. About three songs were shot in Bangkok and its surroundings. Dinesh Lambha was introduced as the villain in this movie and Vivek also plays a prominent role in the movie. Ranjit Barot wrote the film's music. The film was initially titled Coffee Shop, but in order to receive government funding, the producers gave it a Tamil name. It was dubbed into Hindi as Meri Jigar Meri Chahaat. The film is somewhat similar to the Hindi film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye.

Aadanthe Ado Type is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language romance film directed by E V V Satyanarayana, starring Aryan Rajesh, Sivaji and Anita Hassanandani. It is a remake of the 2002 Tamil film Mounam Pesiyadhe written and directed by Ameer Sultan, with Aryan Rajesh, Anita, Shivaji, and Sindhu replacing Suriya, Trisha, Nandha, and Maha, respectively, who originally played the roles. The film released on 30 August 2003. There is also a dubbed Telugu version of Mounam Pesiyadhe, titled as Kanchu, which released in 2006.
Eeram (transl. Moisture) is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language horror thriller film written and directed by Arivazhagan in his directorial debut and produced by S. Shankar. The film stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Nandha, Sindhu Menon, and Saranya Mohan, while Srinath, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, and Krishna play supporting roles. The music was composed by S. Thaman with cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Kishore Te. The film was a commercial success to positive reviews from the story telling.

The film's musical score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose soundtrack featured five songs with lyrics written by Vignesh, Thamarai and Mani Amudhavan. The soundtrack was released under the Sony Music India label on 6 January 2018.
