The 2018–19 Premier League Tournament was the 31st season of first-class cricket in Sri Lanka's Premier Trophy. The tournament started on 30 November 2018 and concluded on 10 February 2019. Fourteen teams took part in Tier A of the competition, split into two groups of seven. Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club finished in last place in the previous tournament, and were relegated to Tier B for this season. Negombo Cricket Club replaced them for this years' competition after they won the 2017–18 Premier League Tournament Tier B title. Chilaw Marians Cricket Club were the defending champions.
Nipun Dananjaya is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Sinhalese Sports Club in the 2018–19 Premier League Tournament on 14 December 2018. Prior to his first-class debut, he was named in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut for Sinhalese Sports Club in the 2018–19 SLC Twenty20 Tournament on 19 February 2019. In January 2020, he was named as the captain of Sri Lanka's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Perumapperuma Arachchige Kaveesha Praveen Jayawickrama, popularly as Praveen Jayawickrama, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays for the national team in all three formats. He made his international debut for the Sri Lanka cricket team in April 2021.
Wesley Fernando is a Sri Lankan former cricketer. He played in 71 first-class and 45 List A matches between 1998/99 and 2009/10. He made his Twenty20 debut on 17 August 2004, for Moors Sports Club in the 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament. As well as playing domestic cricket in Sri Lanka, he also played for several league clubs in the north of England.
