Nandikeswarapuram is a village in West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Pedapadu mandal of Eluru revenue division. [2]
West Godavari district or Paschima Godavari Jilla is one of the 13 districts in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The district is situated in Coastal Andhra region of the state. The administrative headquarters of the district is situated at Eluru. As of 2011 census of India, the district has an area of 7,742 km2 (2,989 sq mi) and a population of 3,936,966. It is bounded by Krishna district on the west, East Godavari district on the east, Bay of Bengal on the south and the state of Telangana on the north.

The total population constitute, 104 males and 108 females with a sex ratio of 1328 females per 1000 males. 28 children are in the age group of 0–6 years with sex ratio of 1000. The average literacy rate stands at 67.93%. [1]
The decennial Census of India has been conducted 15 times, as of 2011. While it has been undertaken every 10 years, beginning in 1872, the first complete census was taken in 1881. Post 1949, it has been conducted by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. All the censuses since 1951 were conducted under the 1948 Census of India Act. The last census was held in 2011. The next will be held in 2021.
