The Nanjing University Library, owned by Nanjing University, is a library in Nanjing, China, with a long history. According to its official website, the library is home to about 400 thousand ancient thread-bound Chinese books, and its total collection as of 2014 had reached 5.77 million. [1] The library is very popular with students, with some controversy emerging due to long queues for study spaces and competition for seats. This issue was addressed in 2016, however, with the introduction of an online seat-booking system. [2]

The library in Gulou campus is accessible within walking distance north west of Zhujianglu Station of Nanjing Metro, and in Xianlin campus is near Nanda Xianlin Station.

The Shanghai–Nanjing intercity railway or Huning intercity railway is a 301-kilometer (187 mi)-long high-speed rail line between Shanghai and Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province. and Níng are shorthand Chinese names for Shanghai and Nanjing, respectively. The Huning intercity high-speed railway largely follows the route of the preexisting Nanjing-Shanghai section of the conventional Beijing–Shanghai railway and the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway. Construction of this high-speed railway began in July 2008. The line went into test operations in early April 2010, and opened for full service on July 1, 2010. The line has a design speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). The journey time between the two cities has been shortened from 120 minutes to 73 minutes on nonstop trains. According to the arrangements of related departments, 120 pairs of trains are operating on the line, and the time interval between services is 5 minutes at the shortest.

Nanjing Little Red Flower Art Troupe is a children's art troupe in China. It was organized in the 1950s by Nanjing Bureau of Art. Nanjing Little Red Flower Dance Troupe is the first Chinese children's art troupe which combines both culture education and art education. It has a faculty of high level and 138 students. There are 6 grades in the school and each grade has 6 classes. Xianlin University City, colloquially known as Xianlin, is a community in Nanjing, China, featuring a bunch of leading higher education institutions. It is located in the middle of Qixia District and to the northeast of Purple Mountain, 15 kilometers from Xinjiekou, the central business area of the city. Planned in 1995 and established in 2002, Xianlin is the earliest university city in China, followed by other famous higher education hubs like Songjiang University City and Guangzhou University City. Nanjing has a total area of 6582.31 square kilometers and a population of about 9.3146 million. Local development and education and cultural industries coexist. Four university towns have begun to take shape in recent years. From north to south, they are Xianlin University Town in Qixia District, Pukou University Town in Pukou District, Jiangning University Town in Jiangning District and Lishui University Town in Lishui District.
