Nasim Ferdous is a former Bangladeshi career diplomat. [2] She joined the foreign service in 1977. She is the first woman to enter in foreign service in Bangladesh. [3] She served as an ambassador to Indonesia from 2002 to 2006. She retired from the service in 2008.

She is also an executive director of Bangladesh Alliance for Women Leadership (BDAWL) [4] and chairperson of the Home Economics Association. [5]

Bangladesh and Indonesia established diplomatic relations in 1971. Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim country, whereas Bangladesh is the world's fourth largest Muslim country. They are partners in the United Nations and various multilateral organisations, particularly in international peacekeeping, the Developing 8 Countries, the Non-Aligned Movement, the World Trade Organization and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. She was a member of the AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship – South and Central winning team in 2016 in Tajikistan. She scored a goal in that tournament. She is the older twin sister of Anuching Mogini, who also plays football.
