Nata pratha is an ancient local custom in the Rajasthan state in northwest India whereby a married man can legitimize an affair with a married woman [1] by formally providing financial support for her. [2] [3]
The West Central Railway, one of the 19 zones of the Indian Railways, came into existence on 1 April 2003. It is headquartered at Jabalpur. It was created by taking away two divisions namely Bhopal division and Jabalpur division from central railways and one division namely Kota division from Western Railway zone. Veer Tejaji also known as Tejaji Maharaj, or simply Tejaji, was a great warrior, social reformer, cow protector and folk-deity in Rajasthan. In rural parts of northern Rajasthan, he is revered as a deity and is considered to be one of Lord Shiva's eleven primary incarnations. The Rathore dynasty or Rathor dynasty was an Indian dynasty belonging to the Rathore clan of Rajputs that has historically ruled over parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Gangaur is a Hindu festival celebrated in the Indian states of Rajasthan, Haryana, the regions of Malwa, Nimar regions of Madhya Pradesh and the Braj and Bundelkhand regions of Uttar Pradesh. It is also celebrated in some parts of Gujarat and West Bengal. A variation of same festival known as Chaitra Gauri Vrat is observed on the same day in the states of Maharashtra and northern Karnataka. She was a staunch adherent of Gandhian ideals and promoted Khadi.
Shilendra Kumar Singh or S.K. Singh was an Indian diplomat. He was Governor of Arunachal Pradesh from December 2004 to September 2007 and Governor of Rajasthan from September 2007 until he died in office in December 2009.
The National Bravery Awards are a set of awards given annually to about 25 Indian children below 18 years of age for "meritorious acts of bravery against all odds." The awards are given by the Government of India and the Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW). Gauna is a northern Indian hindu custom and the ceremony associated with the consummation of marriage prevalent in the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. It is associated with the custom of child marriage. The ceremony takes place several years after marriage. Before the ceremony, the bride stays at her natal home. Marriage is considered only as a ritual union and conjugal life begins only after gauna; that is marriage is consummated only after the gauna ceremony.
