Nathan Duane Brown (born May 4,1979) is an American politician from West Virginia.
Nathan Brown was born on May 4,1979,in South Williamson,Kentucky,to parents Brock and Kelly Brown. Nathan graduated from Burch High School. [1] Nathan earned an Accounting degree from the University of Pikeville,an MBA from the University of Charleston,and a J.D. from Appalachian School of Law. [2]
Brown is a private attorney as well as an assistant prosecuting attorney and the attorney of Williamson,West Virginia. [1] In 2012,Brown ran for the West Virginia House of Delegates seat representing the 20th district,but was defeated in the Democratic primary. On November 6,2018,Brown was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates,where he represented the 20th district from December 1,2018,to December 1,2022. [3]
Brown is married to Brandy,and together they have three children. Brown is Christian. [2]

The 2021 Virginia attorney general election was held on November 2,2021,to elect the next attorney general of Virginia. Democratic Attorney General Mark Herring attempted to win a third term. Herring initially planned to run for governor,but decided to run for re-election. Herring faced Republican nominee Jason Miyares in the general election. Herring conceded defeat at 5:02 PM EST the following day,November 3. Miyares became the first Cuban-American and Hispanic to be elected to statewide office in Virginia. Miyares was later sworn in on January 15,2022.

The 2022 West Virginia House of Delegates election was held on November 8,2022,electing all 100 members of the chamber. This coincided with the election of 17 of West Virginia's 34 state senators,and the election of West Virginia's two U.S. representatives. Primary elections were held on May 10,2022. Due to redistricting,this was the first House of Delegates election in which all members were elected from single member districts,with West Virginia following a trend of states phasing out multi-member districts in recent decades.
