Nation Records is a record label set up by Kath Canoville and Aki Nawaz in 1988.
The label was set up after major labels declined to release their fusion of world music and dance music, an album called Fuse (1989). [1] Featuring the earliest appearance by Talvin Singh as Mahatma T, the label went on to feature the early releases of Asian Dub Foundation, Transglobal Underground, Fun-Da-Mental, Loop Guru, Hustlers HC, Natacha Atlas, Joi, Swami, TJ Rehmi and Charged. The Human League are an English synth-pop band formed in Sheffield in 1977. Initially an experimental electronic outfit, the group signed to Virgin Records in 1979 and later attained widespread commercial success with their third album Dare in 1981 after restructuring their lineup. The album contained four hit singles, including the UK/US number one hit "Don't You Want Me". The band received the Brit Award for Best British Breakthrough Act in 1982. Further hits followed throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s, including "Mirror Man", "(Keep Feeling) Fascination", "The Lebanon", "Human" and "Tell Me When".

Planet Mu is an English electronic music record label created and run by Mike Paradinas. The label started out as a subsidiary of Virgin Records then Paradinas set up the label independent of Virgin. Eskimos and Egypt were a late 1980s to mid-1990s crossover band based out of Manchester, England. X is the third and final studio album to be released by British-Irish pop group Liberty X, released on 10 October 2005. The album was the band's first release on the Virgin Records label, after being dropped from V2 Records in 2004. The album was released two years after their previous album, Being Somebody. The album was the least successful of their three studio albums, only peaking at number 27 on the UK Albums Chart and selling less than 50,000 copies.

The single "Electrica Salsa" with OFF launched his career in 1986. Referred to as "Papa Sven" by his fans, Sven Väth has made his mark in the music community by being one of Germany's pop stars in the nineties, running two night clubs in Germany, and starting his own company Cocoon, which encompasses a booking agency, record label, and a branch for events. He is recognized for cultivating the underground electronic music scene not just in Germany but in Ibiza as well, with his own night at Amnesia for eighteen years and after-parties at creative locations around the island. Sven Väth is a major proponent of vinyl, using only two decks and a mixer for his extensive DJ sets, his longest set having been 30 hours.
WAU/Mr. Modo Records was a record label set up by Alex Paterson and Youth. "WAU" stands for "What About Us?" and "Mr. Modo" is Adam Morris, Paterson's manager. They released several early albums by The Orb, that were mainly distributed by record labels such as Big Life. WAU!Mr. Modo Records featured Discomix releases from conscious roots reggae dub sound system artists such as Bim Sherman, Naphtali, Zulu Warriors, Manasseh, Sound Iration, Tena Stelin, as well as many different ambient artists including Sun Electric, Blue Pearl, and Keiichi Suzuki of the Japanese band Moonriders.

Hunter Siegel is a Canadian DJ and music producer. Hunter made his first appearance with his debut single, released independently, Waiting Up, which was released in white label format in June 2013. Hunter received international support with Waiting Up and quickly caught the ear of a number of tastemaker labels, like Steve Angello's Size Records where he did a release with house music legend Todd Terry. In 2015, Hunter released his first record with Atlantic's dance label Big Beat Records, titled Let Me Love You Right, which featured Canadian vocalist Kai. The record received immediate support on radio throughout North America. Hunter and BigBeat then followed up with the music video which was an ode to the wildly popular movie "Fight Club" as noted in the Billboard Magazine world premiere. Since 2015, Hunter has appeared in numerous international music festivals like HARD SUMMER MUSIC FEST Electric Zoo Music Festival in New York City, Splash House in Palm Springs, California, Holy Ship and many more. In 2016, Hunter and collaborator Autoerotique release their hit single "On the Floor" which took the dance scene by storm garnering support from every DJ imaginable from Skrillex to Hardwell and leading the year as one of the most played songs in Festival DJ sets. In addition, over the course of his career, Hunter has collaborated with artists like Zeds Dead, Shaun Frank, Omar Linx, Adventure Club, Matroda and Wax Motif, continuing to be at the forefront of underground dance music. Hunter Siegel is also the creator of the international brand #NoNeon which launched in January 2015 out of Toronto and has since spread south to Florida for multiple Miami Music Week showcases.

PMR Records is an independent record label founded by Ben and Daniel Parmar in 2011. Initially building recognition as a quintessentially British outlet plugged in to local dance/electronic music culture, with a keen awareness of the trajectory of pop music, PMR was responsible for the early development of Disclosure, Jessie Ware and Jamie Woon who have gone on to have mainstream success. It also nurtured specialist dance/electronic music acts such as Julio Bashmore and T.Williams.
