The National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) is an agency within the Ministry of Agriculture of Eritrea, established in 2003. [1] The institute was previously known as the Department of Agricultural Research and Human Resources Development (DARHARD).

The Health in Eritrea has been poor on a world scale. Nevertheless, Eritrea is one of the few countries to be on target to meet its Millennium Development Goal (MDG) targets for health. As of 2005, over two-thirds of the population lived below the national poverty line and the vast majority in rural areas, about one-third of the population lived in extreme poverty and more than half survived on less than US$1 per day. Researchers at the Overseas Development Institute have identified the health and education as a high priority, both within the government and amongst Eritreans at home and abroad. Innovative multi-sectoral approaches to health were also identified with the success.

Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) is a non-governmental organization and non-profit research and development institute in Phaltan, Maharashtra, India. (NARI) undertakes research and development in the fields of agriculture, renewable energy, animal husbandry and sustainable development. Shri B. V. Nimbkar founded the institute in 1968 and remained its president until 1990. Currently, Dr. Anil K. Rajvanshi is the director of the institute, whereas Dr. Nandini Nimbkar is the president.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – Ghana</span>

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was established by NLC Decree 293 of October 10, 1968 amended by NLCD 329 of 1969, and re-established in its present form by CSIR Act 521 on November 26, 1996. The genesis of the council however, dates back to the erstwhile National Research Council (NRC), which was established by the government in August 1958 to organize and coordinate scientific research in Ghana. In 1963, the NRC merged with the former Ghana Academy of Sciences, a statutory learned society. Following a review in 1966, the academy was reconstituted into, essentially, its original component bodies, namely a national research organization redesignated the CSIR and a learned Society, designated the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The state agencies that form Thailand's public sector consist of several types of functioning bodies. Atma Ram was an Indian scientist. In his memory, the Atmaram Award is given by the Central Institute of Hindi, an autonomous institute run by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India. He was the Director of Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute and assumed the post of Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research on 21 August 1966. He was also Principal Advisor to Prime Minister and Union Cabinet on Science and Technology from 1977 to 1983.
