The title of National Legend of Ukraine is a state award of Ukraine granted to individuals viewed as having made significant contributions to Ukrainian culture, sports, sciences, or society through public activities. It was founded by a presidential decree by Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 14 July 2021, and first awarded on 20 August 2021. [1] The award's establishment was part of broader celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Ukrainian independence that occurred throughout 2021. [2] It was designed by Ukrainian jeweller Valeriia Huzema . [3]

Leonid Makarovych Kravchuk was a Ukrainian politician and the first president of Ukraine, serving from 5 December 1991 until 19 July 1994. In 1992, he signed the Lisbon Protocol, undertaking to give up Ukraine's nuclear arsenal. He was also the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and a People's Deputy of Ukraine serving in the Social Democratic Party of Ukraine (united) faction.

Vadym Volodymyrovych Prystaiko is a Ukrainian diplomat who was Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom. He was appointed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 20 July 2020 and held the position until he was dismissed by Zelenskyy three years later.
The Presidential Brigade "Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi" is a special military unit of Ukraine and its Armed Forces which is mandated to defend the president of Ukraine in his duty as Supreme Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, the First Family, and the presidential residences and facilities assigned to the presidential office.
Mykola Ivanovych Balan is a Ukrainian lieutenant general. He was commander of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Serhiy Kostiantynovych Ionushas is a Ukrainian politician currently serving as a People's Deputy of Ukraine on the proportional list of Servant of the People since 2019. He is also head of the Verkhovna Rada Law Enforcement Committee and the Legal Reform Commission. Prior to his election, he was a lawyer.
The Crimea Platform is a diplomatic summit initiated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in August 2021 and attended by delegations from 46 countries. It is designed to be an international coordination mechanism to restore Russia–Ukraine relations by means of reversing the 2014 annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. The protection of the human rights of Crimean Tatars, environmental degradation and the stifling of trade in the Black and Azov Sea region are also matters discussed at the summit.
Oleksandr Stanislavovych Syrskyi is a Ukrainian military officer. Holding the rank of colonel general, he has served as the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 8 February 2024. Previously, he was the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces from 2019 to 2024, and the commander of the Joint Forces Operation from May to August 2019.
Valerii Fedorovych Zaluzhnyi is a Ukrainian four-star general who is currently serving as Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom. He served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 27 July 2021 until 8 February 2024. He was also concurrently a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Inna Mykolaivna Derusova was a Ukrainian military medic who was the first woman to be posthumously awarded the Hero of Ukraine distinction.
Kyrylo Oleksiiovych Budanov is a Ukrainian military leader who has served as the chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine since August 2020. Budanov previously served as the deputy director of one of the departments of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. He holds the rank of lieutenant general.
The Walk of the Brave was laid in Kyiv on the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the 31st anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The place was not chosen by chance, because it was on the Constitution Square opposite the Verkhovna Rada.
The 30th anniversary of Ukrainian independence was a celebration of Ukrainian independence held from 22 to 24 August 2021, marking 30 years of Ukrainian independence from the Soviet Union. As part of the celebrations, more than 150 events were held across the country under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
Dmytro Ivanovych "Da Vinci" Kotsiubailo was a Ukrainian volunteer, soldier, lieutenant, a commander of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a participant in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Kotsiubailo was the youngest battalion commander in the history of the Ukrainian Army. He served as a leader of the right-wing Right Sector movement.
For Courage and Bravery is an honorary award established by the President of Ukraine to recognize distinguished combat performance, courage, bravery and heroism of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard of Ukraine, State Border Service of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, State Special Communications Service of Ukraine, State Special Transport Service of Ukraine, during the protection of state sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity of Ukraine, while conducting combat operations and performing special tasks.
