National Road Series

The National Road Series is a series of bicycle races held each year in Australia, constituting the chief domestic road racing competition for cyclists.

Overview

The series is organised by Cycling Australia. [1] It includes one-day races, multi-stage tours, and criteriums. Races have been broadcast on SBS in past years. [2] Since 2012, when Subaru became the naming rights sponsor, the series has also been known as the Subaru National Road Series. [3] The series has produced many major UCI World Tour riders including Caleb Ewan, Grace Brown and Patrick Bevin.[ citation needed ]

Drapac Cannondale Holistic Development Team Australian cycling team

Drapac–EF p/b Cannondale Holistic Development Team was an Australian UCI Continental cycling team focusing on road bicycle racing. It was founded in 2004 by Michael Drapac to promote cycling in Australia and became a UCI team in 2006. In November 2013 the team was promoted from UCI Continental to Professional Continental status. In June 2016 it was announced that Drapac would become co-sponsor of the UCI WorldTeam Cannondale for the remainder of the year, before a merger with Drapac Professional Cycling for 2017. The sponsorship deal was agreed for five years, with Michael Drapac becoming a joint owner of the Cannondale team's holding company Slipstream Sports and continuing to fund a development squad under the name Drapac–Pat's Veg.

Melissa Hoskins Australian cyclist

Melissa Hoskins is an Australian former track and road racing cyclist. She topped the general classification in the 2012 Tour of Chongming Island. She was a member of the Australian track cycling team pursuit team that finished in fourth place at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Hoskins announced her retirement from professional cycling on 2 May 2017.

Steele Von Hoff Australian racing cyclist

Steele Von Hoff is an Australian road racing cyclist, who currently rides for Australian amateur team InForm TMX MAKE. In 2018, Von Hoff won the gold medal in the road race at the Commonwealth Games.

Wiggle High5 Pro Cycling British cycling team

Wiggle High5 Pro Cycling was a British professional cycling team based in Belgium, which competed in elite road bicycle racing and track cycling events, such as the UCI Women's Road World Cup. The team closed at the end of 2018.

Peta Mullens Australian cyclist

Peta Mullens is an Australian racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team Roxsolt Liv SRAM in road cycling, and Focus Attaquer in the mountain biking and cyclo-cross disciplines of the sport. She is a former Australian road cycling, MTB and cyclo-cross champion.

Sam Welsford Australian cyclist

Sam Welsford is an Australian professional racing cyclist. Welsford qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and was part of the Men's team pursuit together with Kelland O'Brien, Leigh Howard and Alexander Porter. They secured a bronze medal after overlapping New Zealand who had crashed. Welsford also competed in the Men's Madison where the team finished fifth with a time of 3:48.448 and therefore did not qualify for the final.

Team BridgeLane is an Australian UCI Continental road cycling team based in Sydney, Australia. Team BridgeLane competes in the Australian National Road Series (NRS) as well the UCI Oceania Tour.

Zwift

Zwift is a massively multiplayer online cycling and running physical training program that enables users to interact, train and compete in a virtual world. The company responsible for Zwift, Zwift Inc., was co-founded by Jon Mayfield, Eric Min, Scott Barger and in [], United States, in 2014. The Zwift game was released in its beta version in September 2014 and became a paid product with a fee of $10 per month in October 2015. They raised their monthly membership to $14.99 in November 2017.

Sharlotte Lucas is a New Zealand professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team DNA Pro Cycling.

ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast is an Australian UCI Continental cycling team established in 2018, gaining UCI Continental status the same year.

Grace Brown (cyclist) Australian cyclist

Grace Brown is an Australian road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope. Brown competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She just missed out on a medal in the women’s time trial, finishing fourth. She also competed in the women's road race where she came 47th.

Brodie Chapman Australian cyclist

Brodie Mai Chapman is an Australian road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope.
