National and Islamic Moderate Party of Afghanistan (Persian : حزب اعتدال ملی اسلامی افغانستان) is a political party in Afghanistan, led by Qarabeg Izadyar.
At the time of foundation of the party, it was speculated that the party was intended to function as a back-up in case Yunus Qanuni's New Afghanistan Party would have failed to obtain official registration. [1]
The population of Afghanistan is around 38,928,346 as of 2020, which includes the roughly 3 million Afghan citizens living as refugees in both Pakistan and Iran. The nation is composed of a multi-ethnic and multilingual society, reflecting its location astride historic trade and invasion routes between Central Asia, Southern Asia, and Western Asia. Ethnic groups are Pashtuns, Hazara, Tajik, Nuristanis Uzbeks, Aimaq, Turkmen, Baloch and a few others.

As of 2012, the population of Panjshir province was about 346,100. Bazarak serves as the provincial capital. The Islamic Dawah Organization of Afghanistan is a political party in Afghanistan led by Abdul Rasul Sayyaf. Founded in the early 1980s as the Islamic Union for the Liberation of Afghanistan, it was originally an attempt to bring unity amongst Islamist opposition forces in Afghanistan. However, the creation of the new umbrella organization effectively created a split and the organization became a political party of its own. The organization was part of the 'Peshawar Seven', the coalition of mujahedin forces supported by the United States, Pakistan and various Arab states of the Persian Gulf in the war against the PDPA government and Soviet forces. Through the financial aid received from Saudi sources, the organization was able to attract a considerable military following. Arab volunteers fought in the militia forces of the organisation.
Islamic Movement of Afghanistan is a political party and former faction of the Afghan Northern Alliance in Afghanistan. The movement is registered as a political party with the Ministry of Justice. From its foundation to 2005, the movement was led by Asif Mohseni. The movement emerged in 1978. Initially the movement was inspired by the Islamic revolutionary ideas of Ali Shari'ati, but over time this influence waned.
The Islamic Revolution Movement was a traditionalist Islamist Afghan mujahedeen group fighting against Soviet forces during the Soviet–Afghan War. Mohammad Nabi Mohammadi was the leader of the group. It operated in Southern & Eastern Afghan Provinces of Kandahar, Helmand, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Paktika, and Wardak. It was not as strong a group as Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's Hezb-i-Islami or Ahmed Shah Massoud's forces. The movement was part of the 'Peshawar Seven' coalition of mujahedeen forces.

The National Military Academy of Afghanistan (NMAA) is one of three academic institutions of the Marshal Fahim National Defense University. It is a four-year military development institution dedicated to graduating officers for the Afghan National Army (ANA) and the Afghan Air Force (AAF). The mission of the NMAA is to produce officers for the Afghan Armed Forces that also have a four-year college level bachelor's degree. The academy is based upon the United States Military Academy and United States Air Force Academy.

The founders of the Union were the governing People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan, Revolutionary Toilers Organisation of Afghanistan and the Toilers Organisation of Afghanistan. The Peasants Justice Party of Afghanistan participated as an observer.

It was formed when a local Harakat-e Inqilab-e Islami leader from Sar-e-Pul, Maulawi Muhammad Osman Salekzada, broke away from HII. He was able to take much of the HII organization in northern Afghanistan with him. The party is registered at the Ministry of Justice.

The Chaki Wardak Dam, or simply the Chak Dam, is a dam near the Chak district center in Chaki Wardak District, Wardak Province, Afghanistan. It was originally built by Germans in 1938, making it the oldest major dam in the country. It regulates flow of the Logar River, helping provide irrigation water in Chak Valley.
