Naushir Mehta,also spelled as Noshir Mehta,is a former Indian first-class cricketer who played for Hyderabad as an off break bowler between 1967/68 and 1976/77. In 2014,he completed 50 years in his playing career.
Mehta started as a fast bowler before he switched to bowling right-arm off break. Having started playing cricket at the age of 16 in 1964 for Secunderabad Union Cricket Club, [2] Mehta represented Hyderabad at the first-class level for ten seasons starting from 1967/68. His father Sorabji Mehta,who played first-class cricket for Hyderabad and Parsees in the 1930s and 1940s,was also the chairman of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). [1]
Mehta and Mumtaz Hussain formed a successful spin pair for Hyderabad in the early 1970s. Mehta took 29 wickets at an average of 13.55 in the 1970–71 Ranji Trophy and 34 wickets at 16.55 in the 1971–72 Ranji Trophy including four five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul. [3] In the same season,he played for Rest of India against an Indian XI and took the wickets of Indian Test captain Ajit Wadekar,opener Ashok Mankad and Syed Abid Ali. [4] He also played first-class cricket for Hyderabad Cricket Association XI and Andhra Chief Minister's XI,apart from South Zone,during his career.
Although Mehta played his last first-class match in the 1976/77 season,he continued to play the game in the local leagues. In November 2014,he completed 50 years in his playing career. At the time he was working as a spin bowling coach for the HCA Academy of Excellence. He also appeared in a brief role in the 2005 cricket-themed Bollywood film Iqbal . [1]
Sunil Bandacharya Joshi is an Indian former cricketer and former selector of the India cricket team. He played as an all-rounder who bowled slow left arm spin and batted left-handed. Sunil Joshi was appointed as chief selector of the senior men's cricket team on 4 March 2020. He was a part of the squad which finished as runners-up at the 2000 ICC Champions Trophy.

Vikram Raj Vir Singh,commonly known as VRV Singh,is a former Indian cricketer who was a member of the India national cricket team. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He is considered one of the few genuine fast bowlers India has produced over the last decade. After being called into the Indian squad to play Sri Lanka in 2005,he failed a fitness test and was promptly dropped. He finally played his first One Day International against England at Jamshedpur. He debuted in Tests against the West Indies in June 2006. In March 2019,he announced his retirement from cricket. In August 2019,BCCI formed a separate cricket association for Chandigarh and named it Union Territory Cricket Association. VRV Singh was named as the coach of the team.
Pragyan Ojha is an Indian former cricketer,who represented India. He played as an attacking slow left arm orthodox bowler and left-handed tail-ender batsman for Hyderabad. He is one of the very few players who have taken more wickets than the runs they have scored in Test cricket. He was a part of the Indian squad which won the 2010 Asia Cup. He is the player who got out as the historical 800th Test Wicket of Muttiah Muralitharan.
Danthala Venkata Meher Baba is a former Indian cricketer. He represented Andhra Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy from 1971 to 1989,he also represented the Hyderabad Ranji Trophy Team in 1978. He was a left-hand batsman and left-arm spinner with 16-year first-class career spanning from 1970 to 1987. He made 2649 runs,with a highest of 134 not out against Goa,He also scored 20 half centuries and took 173 wickets with his slow left arm orthodox bowling with five for 32 being the best bowling figures,he had a total of five five-wicket hauls.
Jaydev Dipakbhai Unadkat is an Indian professional cricketer who has played for the Indian national team. He plays for Saurashtra in domestic cricket. He represented India in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2010. In March 2020,Unadkat became the first man to captain Saurashtra to the Ranji Trophy title. In December 2022,Unadkat returned to the Test XI after 12 years.

With India,Kumar won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He became the first bowler to win a purple cap of IPL in two consecutive seasons.
Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu and Kashmir. A right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler,Rasool is the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir team and a regular member of India A. He was bought for ₹95 lakh (US$110,000) by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 IPL auction. Rasool was the second cricketer after Mithun Manhas from Jammu and Kashmir to have played in The IPL and the first from the state to play for the Indian National Team in ODI's and T20I's. He played only 1 T20I and 1 ODI in his international career.
