Aama is a 1964 Nepali film directed by Hira Singh Khatri in his directorial debut. The film is written by Durga Shrestha and Chaitya Devi. Aama was produced by King Mahendra of Nepal under the banner of Information Department of Government of Nepal. The film stars Shiva Shankar and Bhuwan Chand,with Basundhara Bhusal,Chitya Devi Singh,Hira Singh Khatri and Hari Prasad Rimal,in supporting roles. It follows a young man who returns home after serving in his country's army.

Commanding General Shree Maharaja Sir Bir Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana was the 11th Prime Minister of Nepal. He is remembered as a statesman who made reforms and infrastructure improvements. Bir Shamsher Jung Bahadur Rana was known as Kailay in his childhood;this name was given by Jung Bahadur. His mother was daughter of Pahalman Singh Basnyat and sister of Lalitman Singh Basnyat. His mother died at his birth and he was taken care of by Putali Maharani,wife of Jung Bahadur. He spent his childhood at Thapathali Durbar.

Over the course of thirty years,he served as Aide-de-camp General to King Tribhuvan,King Mahendra and King Birendra.
Mathabar Singh Thapa was the Prime Minister of Nepal and the Commander-In-Chief of the Nepalese Army from 25 December 1843 –17 May 1845,until he was murdered by his nephew Jung Bahadur Rana. He was the first Mukhtiyar to title himself as a Prime Minister,as per the British convention. He was the nephew of Bhimsen Thapa,who was sentenced to prison after falsely being accused of killing King Rajendra's six months old son. Mathabar Singh Thapa fled to Shimla after the execution of Bhimsen Thapa,to avoid his own execution as he was Bhimsen's nephew. Four years later,the second queen of Rajendra,Queen Rajya Lakshmi,called him back and installed him as the Mukhtiyar,paving the way for him to eventually title himself as the Prime Minister. Mathabar Singh,however,enraged the queen by refusing to make her son,Ranendra Bikram,the king. The queen,in turn,had him shot by his own nephew Janga Bahadur Rana and thereby making him the last dynast of the Thapa dynasty. Mathabir Singh Thapa was killed by his own nephew.

The Committee that he established recommended for the establishment of High Courts in different regions which resulted in the creation of a four tiered judicial structure with one additional tier in the middle- "the Regional Courts."
