The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass is the lowest-pitched member of the guitar family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length. The bass most commonly has four strings, though five- and six-stringed models are also relatively popular, and basses with even more strings or courses have been built. Since the mid-1950s, the bass guitar has largely come to replace the double bass in popular music due to its lighter weight, the inclusion of frets in most models, and, most importantly, its design for electric amplification.

Satchurated: Live in Montreal is a live album and concert film by American guitarist Joe Satriani. The film was released in both 2D and 3D formats to theatres worldwide during March 2012, before the DVD/Blu-ray, as well as an audio version on CD, was released in April 2012. It is the first 3D concert film to be mixed in Dolby 7.1 surround sound. It was recorded at the Metropolis Theatre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 12, 2010 during Satriani's Wormhole Tour and the film was directed by award-winning film-makers Pierre and François Lamoureux.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Satriani and his bandmates could not convene at a single studio to record the album, opting instead to record each part remotely from their own homes and personal studios.
