Neelima M. Gupte is an Indian physicist. [1] She obtained her B.Sc. from Bombay University in 1976, M.Sc. from IIT Bombay in 1978 and Ph.D from SUNY at Stony Brook in 1983. She has subsequently worked at the University of Hyderabad, and was on the faculty of Pune University from 1985 to 1993. She is presently Professor in the Department of Physics, IIT Madras. Her research interests lie in the field of nonlinear dynamics, and chaos.

Results obtained by her and her collaborators include the phase transition analogs of the thermodynamics of multifractals, the method of impulsive synchronisation and the enhancement of the efficiency of load-bearing and communication networks. Her current research interests include the analysis of spatiotemporal intermittency in extended systems, chaotic advection and the study of networks. In addition to her academic interests, she has also participated in the activities of the 'Women in Physics' group of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. She is included in Lilavati's Daughters, the compendium of biographical and autobiographical essays on Women Scientists of India.

In her capacity as a professor she teaches graduate courses related to cognition and science education. She is also a member of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics and International Committee on Physics Education. Ramadas was appointed Dean, HBCSE, in November, 2008, and in June 2011, was appointed the Centre Director. She is currently Professor at the TIFR Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies, Hyderabad.

Suryendu Dutta is a Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at IIT Bombay. His research interests include plant biomarkers in sediments and crude oils, plant metabolites, shale gas, molecular taphonomy, protein diagenesis, hydrocarbon source rock characterization and lignin metabolism. Dutta secured his M Sc degree in applied geology in 2001 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, M Tech degree in geoexploration in 2003 from IIT Bombay and PhD degree in 2006 from RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

Barna Saha is an Indian-American theoretical computer scientist whose research interests include algorithmic applications of the probabilistic method, probabilistic databases, fine-grained complexity, and the analysis of big data. She is an associate professor and Jacobs Faculty Scholar in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of California, San Diego.
