Negeri Lencho is an Ethiopian academic and politician who has served as the Minister of Communication Affairs in the cabinet of Hailemariam Dessalegn from 2016 to 2018,succeeding Getachew Reda. [1]
Lencho completed a master's degree from the English and Foreign Languages University in 2004. He later received his PhD from Andhra University in India in 2011,and went on to teach at Addis Ababa University,serving as Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies. [2] He previously wrote articles critical of the government's dominance of the domestic media.

Nayi is an Omotic language of the Afro-Asiatic language family spoken in western Ethiopia. Most of the speakers of the language live in two separated areas. The largest grouping live in Decha woreda of the Keffa Zone. The nearest city to their region is Bonga. A few in Dulkuma village of the Shoa Bench woreda,some in Sheko woreda having moved there in 1976-1977 as a result of conflicts between local feudal lords and the military government. In Decha,young people no longer speak the language.

He was the head of the delegation of the Ethiopian Government during the London Conference of 1991 which aimed to end the Ethiopian Civil War.
Getatchew Haile was an Ethiopian-American philologist widely considered the foremost scholar of the Ge'ez language and one of its most prolific. He was acknowledged for his contributions to the field with a MacArthur Fellows Program "genius" award and the Edward Ullendorff Medal from the Council of the British Academy. He was the first Ethiopian and the first African to win the award.
Abe Gubegna was an Ethiopian writer. His name is sometimes spelled "Abbé" or "Abbie". He published eight novels,five plays,three collections of poetry,and translated several biographies of world leaders as well as other works. Abe mainly wrote in Amharic,but two of his books were written in English.

Lencho Letta is an Ethiopian politician and Oromo activist who was founding member of Oromo Liberation Front (OLF). He was the Deputy Secretary General of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) from 1974 to 1995. In Late 1990s,Lencho left OLF leadership due to ideological differences. He is currently the leader of Oromo Democratic front,which was formed in 2013.

The Burayu massacre was a series of communal clashes which occurred in the vicinity of the Ethiopian town of Burayu,in the Oromia Region,on 14–16 September 2018. Individuals from the Oromo and Dorze ethnicities fought in and around Burayu,a town in Oromia Region which is located near the northwest boundary of Addis Ababa,the federal capital. Different sources cite number of civilians killed both from Oromo and non-Oromo ethnicity.
Hirut Woldemariam is an Ethiopian writer,teacher,politician and former minister of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Ethiopia),Ministry of Culture and Tourism,Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. She was the first female Vice president of Addis Ababa University.
The 2014 Addis Ababa Master Plan was a controversial plan to expand the boundaries of Ethiopian capital,Addis Ababa,by 1.1 million hectares into the Oromia Special Zone in April 2014. The plan was met with protests,particularly in the Oromia Region,with critics saying it would violate the 1995 Constitution.
