Nekronology is an album by the German avant-garde/experimental musician Hermann Kopp. It was released in October 2004 as a CD and in July 2009 as a vinyl LP, with a different artwork. The album is a compilation of Kopp's soundtracks to the German films Nekromantik, Der Todesking and Nekromantik 2 by the film director Jörg Buttgereit, completed by two bonus tracks.

Aguirre is the seventh album by German band Popol Vuh. It contains music used in the soundtrack to Werner Herzog's film Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972), first released as an album in 1975 on Ohr, and reissued in 2004 by SPV with one bonus track. The soundtrack gained the band comparisons to renowned ambient musician Brian Eno. This score was the first of many filmic collaborations between the group and Herzog. Only two tracks are from the film; the rest were gathered from various recordings done by the group during the period 1972–74, including alternative versions of two songs originally released on the band's 1974 album, Einsjäger und Siebenjäger.

Mark Reeder is a British musician and record producer. He grew up in Manchester, England. At a young age, Reeder became interested in progressive rock and especially early electronic music. In his teens, he worked in a small Virgin Records store in Manchester city centre.

81db is an alternative metal band based in Italy, formed in April 2006 by Greek guitarist Kostas Ladopoulos. As he stated in the band's first interviews, the musical idea was to try to combine a new alternative rock/metal sound by mixing melodies and heavy guitar riffs with folk elements derived from Kostas’ Greek origins. The current members of the band are Kostas Ladopoulos, Filippo Capursi (Drums), Luca Giannoni (Vocals) and Vieri Pestelli (Bass). The band had their debut album Evaluation out on 2009 through Orion's Belt Records and published by EMI in Italy and distributed by Minos EMI in Greece. They released two more albums in 2011 and 2013, respectively, and a "Best of" in 2017. After the exit from the band of original singer William Costello, 81db released an Instrumental EP in 2021. In 2022, the band welcomed new singer Luca Giannoni and released a new single in 2023.

Luc Bürgin was a Swiss writer, publicist, and journalist. From 1996 to 2002, Bürgin studied German literature, folklore, musicology, media studies and sociology at the University of Basel. He has served as a journalist for Basler Zeitung Medien and as editor in chief of Baslerstab. He is best known for his writings on fringe science and popular science. Bürgin died on 11 May 2024, at the age of 53.
