NetGuide is a live news website with weekly email newsletters dedicated to New Zealand consumers, covering technology news, product reviews and buying advice. Netguide.co is the largest site in the Techday network.
NetGuide was launched in September 1996 by an independent Auckland-based publisher, then owned by Australian Consolidated Press (ACP) 2003 to 2008, then shifted to Action Media. [1] It is now owned exclusively by Techday Ltd. Originally entirely internet focused, it developed to cover wider computer, telecommunications, and technology issues. The magazine competed with IDG's New Zealand PC World and ran the annual NetGuide Web Awards. [2]
In early 2014, NetGuide and the entire Techday network discontinued all print publications and moved to exclusively online content.
In April 2017, [3] NetGuide was renamed as FutureFive NZ. [4]
The magazine launched a version for the Australian market, Australian NetGuide , which ran 1996–2009. It competed with NineMSN's apc and IDG's Australian PC World . Now, Australian news is integrated into Netguide's New Zealand website, or published under one of Techday's Australian brands: IT Brief Australia, SecurityBrief Australia, or ChannelLife Australia.

Sega Net Link is an attachment for the Sega Saturn game console to provide Saturn users with internet access and access to email through their console. The unit was released in October 1996. The Sega Net Link fit into the Sega Saturn cartridge port and consisted of a 28.8 kbit/s modem, a custom chip to allow it to interface with the Saturn, and a browser developed by Planetweb, Inc. The unit sold for US$199, or US$400 bundled with a Sega Saturn. In 1997 Sega began selling the NetLink Bundle, which included the standard NetLink plus the compatible games Sega Rally Championship and Virtual On: Cyber Troopers NetLink Edition, for $99.
PC PowerPlay (PCPP) is Australia's only dedicated PC games magazine. PC PowerPlay focuses on news and reviews for upcoming and newly released games on the Microsoft Windows platform.
