Netball Northern Territory is the governing body for netball in the Northern Territory. It is affiliated to Netball Australia. It is responsible for organizing and managing Territory Storm who have competed in the Australian Netball League. It is also responsible for organizing and managing Netball at the Arafura Games and the NT Link Netball Championships as well as numerous other leagues and competitions for junior and youth teams.

Adelaide Thunderbirds Australian netball team

Adelaide Thunderbirds are an Australian netball team based in Adelaide, South Australia. Since 2017 they have played in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship and between 1997 and 2007, they played in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy league. Thunderbirds have won four premierships. They won their first two premierships in 1998 and 1999 during the Commonwealth Bank Trophy era and their third and fourth in 2010 and 2013 during ANZ Championship era. Historically, Thundersbirds are one of Australia's most successful netball teams. Between 1997 and 2010 they finished in the top three of every regular season.

Netball Australia Netball governing body

Netball Australia is the main governing body for netball in Australia. It is affiliated to World Netball. It is responsible for organising and administrating the Australia national netball team, Suncorp Super Netball and the Australian National Netball Championships. It previously organised and administrated the Australian Netball League, the ANZ Championship, the Commonwealth Bank Trophy league and the Esso/Mobil Superleague.

The Australian National Netball Championships are a series of annual netball tournaments, organised by Netball Australia and featuring representative teams from the states and territories of Australia. The earliest tournaments took place during 1920s.

It is responsible for organizing and managing the Netball South Australia Premier League as well as numerous other leagues and competitions for junior and youth teams. It is also responsible for organizing and managing two elite level representatives teams, Adelaide Thunderbirds, who compete in the Suncorp Super Netball, and Southern Force who compete in the Australian Netball League. Its headquarters are based at Netball SA Stadium.

Bees Creek is an outer rural area of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. It is 33 km southeast of the Darwin central business district. It is the council seat of the local government area of the Litchfield Municipality, although most council facilities, public amenities and the actual Municipal offices are in the neighbouring locality of Freds Pass. Bees Creek is mostly rural, with large residential blocks often not served by town sewers or sealed roads. The company claims to be Adelaide's oldest Australian-owned PR consultancy, specialises in "building and protecting brands" and serves clients from public, private and not-for-profit sectors. In 2003 Phil Martin acquired the firm from former owners Daryl Warren and Janet Grieve, merging with Maverick Media & PR. In 2013 the agency employed 14 staff. The firm works closely with Keito Events, which is managed by former Michels Warren employee, Kate Abrahams.

Sunshine Coast Lightning Australian netball team

Sunshine Coast Lightning are an Australian netball team based at the University of the Sunshine Coast. The team was formed in 2016 as a joint venture between the university and Melbourne Storm. Since 2017 they have played in Suncorp Super Netball. Lightning have played in three grand finals, winning premierships in 2017 and 2018.

Cyclone Marcus

Severe Tropical Cyclone Marcus was a very powerful tropical cyclone that struck Australia's Northern Territory and the Kimberley region of Western Australia in March 2018. It was the strongest tropical cyclone of the 2017–18 Australian region cyclone season, as well as the strongest tropical cyclone in the Australian region basin since George in 2007. It was also considered the worst cyclone to hit Darwin since Tracy in 1974. It was also the strongest tropical cyclone since Tracy to hit Darwin, making landfall there as a Category 2 tropical cyclone. Marcus formed on March 14 from a tropical low situated over the northeast Timor Sea, which quickly moved southeast and strengthened into a tropical cyclone the next day.

The Australian Netball Championships, formerly the Australian Netball League, is a Australian netball competition. Since 2008 it has served as a second level competition, initially below the ANZ Championship and later below Suncorp Super Netball. It is organised by Netball Australia. The teams in the competition are effectively the reserve teams of Suncorp Super Netball teams and/or the representative teams of state netball leagues, such as the South Australia state netball league, the Victorian Netball League and the West Australian Netball League. Victorian Fury were the inaugural ANL champions. Fury are also the competition's most successful team, having won eight premierships. The 2020 ANL season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the competition was subsequently re-branded as the Australian Netball Championships.

Territory Netball Stadium is an Australia netball stadium located in Marrara, a suburb of Darwin, Northern Territory. The stadium is owned by the Government of the Northern Territory who in turn lease it to Netball Northern Territory. Since opening in January 2019, it has become the home venue of Territory Storm of the Australian Netball League.

Netball at the 2019 Arafura Games was played at the Territory Netball Stadium between 1-4 May, 2019. Fiji were the winners.

Territory Storm, also referred to as Northern Territory Storm or NT Storm, is an Australian netball team that represents Netball Northern Territory in the Australian Netball League. Territory Storm have played in the ANL since 2008, missing only the 2016 season. In 2017, after forming a partnership with Sunshine Coast Lightning, they effectively became Lightning's reserve team.

Netball New South Wales is the governing body for netball in New South Wales. It is affiliated to Netball Australia. It is responsible for organizing and managing two elite level teams, New South Wales Swifts and Giants Netball, who compete in Suncorp Super Netball. It is also responsible for organizing and managing the Netball New South Wales Premier League as well as numerous other leagues and competitions for junior and youth teams. Its headquarters are based at Netball Central in Sydney Olympic Park.

Netball Victoria is the governing body for netball in Victoria, Australia. It is affiliated to Netball Australia. It is responsible for organising and managing the elite level team, Melbourne Vixens, who compete in the Suncorp Super Netball. It is also responsible for organising and managing the Victorian Netball League as well as numerous other leagues and competitions for junior and youth teams. Its headquarters are based at the State Netball and Hockey Centre.

Netball Queensland is the governing body for netball in Queensland. It is affiliated to Netball Australia. It is responsible for organizing and managing Queensland Firebirds who compete in Suncorp Super Netball. It is also responsible for organizing and managing the HART Sapphire Series as well as numerous other leagues and competitions for junior and youth teams. Its headquarters are based at the Nissan Arena.

Netball Western Australia is the governing body for netball in Western Australia. It is affiliated to Netball Australia. It is responsible for organizing and managing West Coast Fever who compete in Suncorp Super Netball. It is also responsible for organizing and managing the West Australian Netball League as well as numerous other leagues and competitions for junior and youth teams.
