This was the only year that the team played as the league was disbanded following the season. New Jersey was runner-up to winners San Francisco Freedom.

There were plans at the end of 2004 season for the continuation of the league. It had been stated that the league had funds available for three complete seasons.[ who? ] In the end, the franchise ceased operations when the Pro Cricket league folded after one season.

The Sydney Roosters is an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Pro Cricket was a professional cricket league in the United States. It was operated by American Pro Cricket LLC (APC), a private company independent of the ICC and the USACA. The league was formed in 2004 as one of several independent efforts by different organizations to develop and promote cricket in the United States. APC originally announced that it was fully funded for at least three years of competition, but the league struggled through in its initial season due to poor attendance. Although most of the games were shown on Dish network PPV, the competition was linked to the unsuccessful launch of the so named "American Desi TV" channel based out of New Jersey. The league ceased operations after the 2004 season.
George Wright was an American shortstop in professional baseball. He played for the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings, the first fully professional team, when he was the game's best player. He then played for the Boston Red Stockings, helping the team win six league championships from 1871 to 1878. His older brother Harry Wright managed both Red Stockings teams and made George his cornerstone. George was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937. After arriving in Boston, he also entered the sporting goods business. There he continued in the industry, assisting in the development of golf.
