The New SANAA Campus (Italian : Nuovo Campus SANAA) is a building complex on the Bocconi University campus in Milan, Italy.
The complex, which constitutes an expansion of the Bocconi University campus, was designed by Japanese architectural firm SANAA. Inauguration took place on November 29, 2019, in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella. [1]
The complex includes the new seat of the SDA Bocconi School of Management, a student dorm and a sports center equipped with an Olympic-size swimming pool. [2] [3]
The buildings are characterized by sinuous volumes and façades, ground-floor glass windows and interior courtyards, typical of Milanese architecture, that make them porous to the public. Sheltered porticoes link the several buildings, providing sheltered connection across the gardens that separate them. [3]
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a public research university located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong near Hung Hom station. Sanaa, also spelled Sana'a or Sana, is the capital and largest city in Yemen and the centre of Sanaa Governorate. The city is not part of the Governorate, but forms the separate administrative district of "ʾAmānat al-ʿĀṣima". Under the Yemeni constitution, Sanaa is the capital of the country, although the seat of the Yemeni government moved to Aden, the former capital of South Yemen in the aftermath of the Houthi occupation. Yvonne Farrell is an Irish architect and academic. She is the co-founder, together with Shelley McNamara, of Grafton Architects, which won the World Building of the Year award in 2008 for their Bocconi University building in Milan. The practice won the inaugural RIBA International Prize in 2016 for their Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología building in Lima, Peru, and was awarded the 2020 Royal Gold Medal. In 2017 she was appointed, along with Shelley McNamara, as curator of the 16th Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2018. She won the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2020, also with McNamara.

Shelley McNamara is an Irish architect and academic. She attended University College Dublin and graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Architecture. She founded Grafton Architects with Yvonne Farrell in 1978. Grafton rose to prominence in the early 2010s, specialising in stark, weighty but spacious buildings for higher education. McNamara has taught architecture at University College Dublin since 1976 and at several other universities.
Andrea Sironi is an Italian academic. He is a Professor of Banking and Finance at Bocconi University, where he was the Rector from 2012 to 2016, and has been the President since 2022. He also serves as chairman of Assicurazioni Generali and Fondazione AIRC per la Ricerca sul Cancro.
