"New Thing" is a song and single by musician Rye Rye. It was recorded and released in 2011 by N.E.E.T. Recordings and Interscope Records with an accompanying music video. The song's release precedes the release of her debut album Go! Pop! Bang! . "New Thing" appears as a promo for designer Prabal Gurung's 2012 Resort Collection and in the 2011 Adidas "Women Go All In" advert. The song samples lyrics from the song "Sunshowers" by M.I.A. Gurung, who cites Rye Rye as his muse, wanted the artist to showcase his work "in a way that highlighted its bright and graphic elements".

Music video

The music video premiered on Stylelist. [1] It subsequently premiered on VEVO and YouTube on July 1, 2011. The video features Rye Rye and several dancers dancing Baltimore club dance moves on a stage, with lights in the background and clothes inspired by Gurung's line. [2] Gurung wanted Rye Rye, an early muse of the designer to showcase his designs in the video, for he felt the musician's unique style, graphics and music complimented his work. In other scenes, Rye Rye dances and rap/sings to the camera with different backdrops.

Ayurveda (band)

Ayurveda was an independent rock-based band with a progressive style that is ambient, heavy, and alternative with electronic and Nepalese influences. They are based out of Ithaca, NY when not on tour. The five member band is: Tom Burchinal, Diwas Gurung, Shikhar R. Bajracharya (guitar), Dan Halperin, and Mike Parker (drums). Ayurveda performed their final show at the 2011 Grassroots festival in Ithaca prior to Tom parting ways with the band. Dan, Mike, and Diwas have since formed a new group called Photoreal.

Bang!, appearing on the deluxe edition, whilst the R3hab remix appears on the standard edition. The song samples the chorus of Robyn's previous hit single Be Mine!. Its release on N.E.E.T. Recordings and Interscope Records was followed by a music video directed by Tim Nackashi. On August 11, 2011 the song debut at number 49 on the US Billboard Dance Charts.

Go! Pop! Bang! is the debut studio album by American rapper Rye Rye. It was released on N.E.E.T. Recordings, an imprint of Interscope Records. The album was originally scheduled for release in 2009, but it has since been delayed several times, due to a pregnancy and label issues. It was eventually released on May 15, 2012, with a deluxe version available through digital music retailers. The album features several artists including M.I.A., Akon, Tyga, Robyn, and Porcelain Black. Production credits are given to M.I.A., The Neptunes, Mr. Bangladesh, and RedOne. The variety of styles brought from each producer was praised by critics.

Living for Love 2014 single by Madonna

"Living for Love" is a song recorded by American singer Madonna for her thirteenth studio album, Rebel Heart (2015). It was written and produced by Madonna, Diplo and Ariel Rechtshaid, with additional writing from MoZella and Toby Gad. Originally intended for a Valentine's Day 2015 release, the song was rush-released as the lead single from the album on December 20, 2014, by Interscope Records, after demos recorded for the album leaked on to the internet. An EDM, diva house, disco and electropop track on which Madonna experimented with different musical genres, "Living for Love" contains instrumentation from percussion and piano by singer Alicia Keys, along with a gospel choir. Madonna composed the track as a break-up song, however she wanted to deviate and make the lyrics as uplifting in nature, talking about counteracting negative thoughts with positive responses.
