Ngọc Sơn is a commune (xã) and village in Hiệp Hòa District, Bắc Giang Province, in northeastern Vietnam. [1]

Commune-level subdivisions (Vietnam)

In Vietnam, there are three kinds of third-level (commune-level) administrative subdivisions: the rural commune, the commune-level town，and the ward. In Vietnam a rural commune is referred to as a xã and urban communes are referred to as Thị trấn, urban townships. However many communities, particularly large urban ones with provincial status, will be divided into wards which are known as phường.

Hiệp Hòa is one of nine rural districts of Bắc Giang Province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 210,980. The district covers an area of 201 km2. The district capital lies at Thắng. This is the home country of Trạng nguyên Đoàn Xuân Lôi of the Trần Dynasty, Tiến sĩ Trịnh Ngô Dụng of the Lê Dynasty, Đình nguyên Nguyễn Đình Tuân of the Nguyễn Dynasty.
