Nichola Simpson (born 10 October 1956) is an athlete from Oxford, [1] Great Britain. She competes in compound archery, and has reached a career high of 4th in the FITA world rankings (23 August 2008). [2]
Simpson is a member of Oxford Archers, and is coached by her husband Ian Simpson.
Having taken up archery in 1987, Nichola has been a member of the GB women's compound team since 1993, [2] with whom she won Gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She won a bronze medal at the 1995 World Indoor Archery Championships held in Birmingham and a further Bronze at the 2nd World Cup leg in San Salvador in 2006, which was Great Britain's first Archery World Cup medal. [3] She had her most successful season to date in 2007, winning silver at 2 world cup events, in Porec and Boé and also the silver medal at the year end Grand Final in Lausanne. [4]

She has competed in the Paralympic Games winning gold medals in Beijing and London and has also won medals shooting in the able bodied category including the Commonwealth Games. The women's recurve individual archery event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games was a competition held as part of the archery programme at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi, India, from 4 October to 10 October 2010. It was the second time that the recurve individual event for women had been included in the Commonwealth Games and the first time it had been contested since the 1982 Games in Brisbane, Australia.

Amy Oliver is an archer from Great Britain. A competitor at the 2012 Summer Olympics, she won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, a bronze medal at the 2011 World Archery Championships, and was the women's individual recurve champion at the World Field Archery Championships in 2016. Oliver announced her retirement from the British national archery team in 2017.

The 2014 Archery World Cup was the ninth edition of the annual Archery World Cup, organised by the World Archery Federation. The locations for the 4 preliminary stages were the same as in 2013, with the first leg in Shanghai, China from 22–27 April, the second leg on 13–18 May in Medellin, Colombia, the third leg on 10–15 June in Antalya, Turkey, and the final leg on August 5–10 in Wroclaw, Poland. The finals were held in Lausanne on 6–7 September.
The 2015 Archery World Cup is the tenth edition of the annual Archery World Cup, organised by the World Archery Federation. The locations for the 4 preliminary stages are the same as in 2014, with the first leg in Shanghai, China from 5–10 May, the second leg on 26–31 May in Antalya, Turkey, the third leg on 11–16 August in Wroclaw, Poland, and the final leg on 8–13 September in Medellin, Colombia. The finals will be held in Mexico City on 17–18 October.
