Nicholas Meister (born December 25, 1995) [2] is a Canadian curler from Langley, British Columbia. [3] He is a former Canadian Junior Champion.
After skipping his own team in juniors, [4] Meister played lead for the Tyler Tardi junior rink from 2013 to 2017. [5] As a member of the Tardi rink, Meister won the British Columbia men's junior championship in 2016 and 2017. The team represented the province at the 2016 and 2017 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. In 2016, they finished the tournament with a 7-3 round robin record, and won a bronze medal after losing to Manitoba's Matt Dunstone in the semi-final. The next year, the team went 11–1 at the Canadian Juniors, and ultimately won the event, defeating Ontario's Matthew Hall rink in the final. [6] The team then represented Canada at the 2017 World Junior Curling Championships. There, they finished the round robin with a 6–3 record, but missed the playoffs after losing a tiebreaker match against Norway's Magnus Ramsfjell. That season, the team also won the 2016 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic on the World Curling Tour. [7] After the 2016–17 season, Meister aged out of juniors. [8]
While a junior, Meister played in hist first men's provincial championship in 2015, playing third for the Daniel Wenzek team. The team went 2–3, before being eliminated. Meister played on Team Tardi's junior team at the 2016 and 2017 BC provincial championships. In 2016, Tardi could not play as he was playing at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics, so the played with just three players, and was skipped by Wenzek. At the 2016 provincials, they went 2–3 before being eliminated. In 2017, the team with Tardi skipping went 3–3, losing in both the B and C finals.
After juniors, Meister joined the Jeff Guignard rink, playing lead on the team. [5] As a member of Team Guignard, Meister won the 2017 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic. [7] In 2018, Meister and Wenzek formed a new team, with Meister continuing to play lead. [5] The team made it to the 2019 BC Men's Curling Championship, where they made it to the playoffs, where they lost to Josh Barry in the C1 vs. C2 game. In 2019, Meister joined the Sean Geall rink at lead. [5] With Geall, he won the 2019 King Cash Spiel World Curling Tour event. [7] They played at the 2020 BC Men's Curling Championship, going 3–3, losing in the C Final.
Meister joined the Brent Pierce rink in 2021 as lead. The team won the 2022 BC Men's Curling Championship, and represented British Columbia at the 2022 Tim Hortons Brier, Meister's first.
Meister won the 2018 BC Mixed Doubles Championship with Megan Daniels, and represented the province at the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. There, they finished with a 3–4 record in pool play. [2]
Meister works as an ice technician with the Merklinger Icemaking Co. [2] He was a member of the ice crew at the 2018 BC Men's Junior Championship, a year after he aged out of juniors. [8]
Bradley Raymond Gushue, ONL is a Canadian curler from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Gushue, along with teammates Russ Howard, Mark Nichols, Jamie Korab and Mike Adam, represented Canada in curling at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where they won the gold medal by defeating Finland 10–4. He also represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal. In addition to the Olympics, Gushue won the 2017 World Men's Curling Championship with teammates Mark Nichols, Brett Gallant, and Geoff Walker. He is a record five-time Brier champion skip, having won in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023 all with Nichols, Gallant and Walker, except for 2023 with E. J. Harnden replacing Gallant. Their win in 2017 was Newfoundland and Labrador's first Brier title in 41 years. At the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier, Gushue set a new record for Brier game wins as a skip, breaking a three-way tie with previous record-holders Russ Howard and Kevin Martin.
John C. Morris is a Canadian curler, and two-time Olympic gold medallist from Canmore, Alberta. Morris played third for the Kevin Martin team until April 24, 2013. Morris, author of the book Fit to Curl, is the son of Maureen and Earle Morris, inventor of the "Stabilizer" curling broom. Morris grew up in Gloucester, Ontario and at the age of five began curling at the Navy Curling Club.
Brent Pierce is a Canadian curler and coach from New Westminster, British Columbia.
Kevin Koe is a Canadian curler. Koe is a two-time World champion and four-time Canadian champion. He was the skip of the Canadian men's team at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
Mark Bice is a Canadian curler. He used to skip a team on the World Curling Tour. He won the Ontario Tankard in 2014 and represented the province at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier.
The 2011 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, was held March 5 until March 13, 2011 at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario. This event marked the 30th time that the province of Ontario has hosted the Brier since it began in 1927 in Toronto, Ontario and the first time a Bronze Medal Game was added to the playoffs.

Bradley Robert Jacobs is a Canadian curler from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He currently plays third on Team Reid Carruthers. He is an Olympic champion skip, having led Canada to a gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Jacobs is also the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier championship skip and the 2013 World Championship runner-up. He is an 12-time Northern Ontario provincial champion, and one time provincial junior champion.
James H. Cotter is a Canadian curler from Vernon, British Columbia.
Geoff Walker is a Canadian curler, currently living in Edmonton, Alberta. He currently plays lead for the Brad Gushue rink. He was the Men's World Champion in 2017 and won silver the following year in 2018. A five-time national champion, he won the Brier in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023. Walker was a two-time World Junior Champion when he won gold in 2006 and 2007.
