Nick Skinner (born 6 May 1988) is a former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the NRL. His choice of position was either Prop or Second-Row. [2]
Skinner was signed by the Canberra Raiders for the 2008 season. He spent four years playing for Canberra's affiliate team in South Logan but could not make his way into Canberra's first-grade team. [3]
At the end of the 2011 season, Skinner signed a two-year contract with Manly and made his NRL debut in Round 4 of 2012 against the St. George Illawarra Dragons. At the end of the 2013 season, after playing 6 first-grade games for Manly, Skinner announced his intention to return to the South City Bulls of the Group 9 Rugby League based in Wagga Wagga, citing his inability to play in the first-grade team on a consistent basis as the reason for returning to his junior club. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). The club debuted in the 1947 New South Wales Rugby Football League season and currently host the majority of their home games from Brookvale Oval in Brookvale, while training at the New South Wales Academy of Sport in Narrabeen and their Centre of Excellence in Brookvale. Brent Kite is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. A Tonga and Australia international, and New South Wales State of Origin representative front-row forward, he played club football for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Penrith Panthers. Kite was named the Clive Churchill Medallist for his performance in the 2008 NRL Grand Final, in which he helped steer Manly-Warringah to a 40–0 thumping of the Melbourne Storm, scoring a try.
Cliff Lyons is an indigenous Australian former international rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. A Clive Churchill Medalllist and two-time Dally M Medallist, he made 309 first-grade appearances with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, winning grand finals with them in 1987 and 1996. Lyons also represented New South Wales and Australia, being part of the successful 1990 Kangaroo Tour of Great Britain and France.
