Nicholas "Nick" Ziolonka (born January 3, 2002) is a professional soccer player who plays as a forward for New York Cosmos in the USL League One.
Born in Wallington, New Jersey, Ziolonka played youth soccer in New Jersey with local clubs, including NJ Stallions. He also played high school soccer at Wallington High School, being one of the most prolific scorers in the history of New Jersey High School soccer. [1]
In 2020, Ziolonka attended the University of Massachusetts to play college soccer. He played for four seasons with the Minutemen, making 57 appearances and scoring 13 goals and recording 14 assists. During the 2023 season he led the Atlantic 10 Conference with 10 assists. [2] In 2024, Ziolonka transferred to the University of Kentucky, where he played his final season at the college level. He scored 2 goals and tallied 4 assists in 18 appearances with the Wildcats. [3]
Ziolonka also played in the USL League Two with Hudson Valley Hammers from 2022 to 2025. In four seasons with the club be scored 31 goals in 46 matches. During the 2025 season he led the club with 9 goals in 12 matches. [4]
During the spring 2025 Ziolonka joined renowned local amateur club New York Pancyprian-Freedoms during the clubs run in the U.S. Open Cup. He started the clubs two matches in the Cup, including the first-round upset of MLS Next Pro side FC Cincinnati 2 on March 20, 2025. The match ended 0-0, with the Freedoms winning 5–4 in the penalty shootout. [5]
On December 3, 2025, Ziolonka joined USL League One side New York Cosmos ahead of their return to professional competition. [6]
